Hi Ross,

It was a real pleasure meeting you in the Dr. Cue tournament.

Thank you for taking your time to introduce yourself.

I just want to say I really appreciate your letting me try out the Searing, what a nice piece of shaft wood!

I will be looking forward to meeting you again in the near future.

If you ever come to Vancouver, please do not hesitate to letting me know.:)

PS For those of you who has never seen Ross play, Ross shoots a mean stick and is a very fine player.

Regards,

Richard

Hi Richard - It was nice to meet you as well, and I must say that the new jump cue is VERY nice.... I had the chance to try it out with the new ash shaft and tip, and it pops them with little effort and a LOT of control.... Too bad I still haven't gotten a chance to use the X Breaker yet...

Thanks for the nice compliments, too bad I lost to Dan Louie, though... He is a tough one.

I'm sure we'll see you in these parts again.

Take care,

-Ross

So after reading all of these Donovan threads, quite a few of you have met me.... am I a bad guy??? I mean, shucks, guys.... I want the SJM's and Tate's of AZB saying, "you know, that Ross is an alright guy that I wanna meet too!" and I'm a lot more fun than Donovan...

I'd like to hear who has first hand knowledge where WEATHER wasn't the key factor.... ;)

yeah, 3 snowflakes hit the ground, and he turns into a flake himself.

sigh.......

chris G<-------(still has a pocketful of money to gamble with ross)

Hi Ross,

Well, Dan Louie was playing pretty much perfect pool that night, I only remember him missing one 8 ball (The cue ball was on the rail and he had to cut the 8 down the cushion to hold the cue ball for shape for the 9 with some outside bottom). He lost his first match and worked his way all the way to the finals. He seemd to kick in top gear and just played outstanding pool.

I think Ross plays pretty good himself, there was one game he played against Dan Louie when he had to make three tough shots to get out, which he did. I believe he actually beat Dan in the same tournament the week before.

I was very impressed that Ross came to introduce himself when I walked into Dr. Cue. I think it was very nice of him to do so. I wish I would have more chance to talk to him. It was hard when he had to keep playing matches after matches, and I appreciate him taking the time to talk to me. He also showed me his Searing shaft, and it is impressive.

Thank you for trying out my jump cue, and I will be looking forward to seeing you again.

Richard

Is this the Tuesday night weekly tournament at Dr. Cues or something special? I would have come if I had known you would be there, X-Breaker!

Yeah, Ross is a good guy. He has challenged me to play, but never got around to it. We hit some together on a challenge table at City Lights once. ;)

Hi Linda,

Yes, it is the Tuesday tournament. I went down to Skagit so I decided to drop by. It was kind of a last minute decision.:) I also wanted to ask how Danny like his X Breaker. Danny is always very generous in offering me his valuable feedback and input, be it on equipment or how to play the game, which I really appreciate.

This is my second time in Dr. Cue, I think the equipment there are really beautiful and are all kept in outstanding condition. I had the pleasure of meeting also the owner, Jeff--a very nice guy, who works hard to promote pool. The tables there totally spoil me.:)

I played in the Tuesday tournament the week before. I was in Seattle (Julian's), during rush hour. Since traffic was pretty bad...Danny asked me to go to Shoreline to check it out. I am glad I did. I also met another Azer, Issycue, while I was in Julian's.:) Thank you for introducing yourself.

I like the way the tournament was run, the players are all very gentlemen like. There are quite a few good players as well. I have had excellent experience, and I am looking forward to going there again may be when they have a big tournament up.

So far, I have been to the Parlors, Dr. Cue, and Julian's. I have to say I am more than impressed. It envies me to see so many top notch nice pool halls within driving distance for all you folks in Seattle.:)
