9 ball ghost out. It didn't go exactly as planned, but it had some nice shots, especially from the 6 to the 7. CB fouls only (I brushed the 9).
1 min long for easy viewing. The time between shots has been removed. Thanks for watching.
Based on the audio, I don’t know how you can stand what sounds to be a rock hard tip? Are you sure you’re not playing with your break cue?

I was thinking of playing it that way. I decided to draw it. My draw let up I was trying to get to the rail where I pointed the stick after the shot. It probably would have ended up better if I played it with follow. Why couldnt you just follow off the 8B with some high and come down for the 9B?
Its a soft tip, a sniper. The audio is not representative. For whatever reason, anytime I've recorded my pool shots over the years, with many different cameras, the strike always comes out loud.Based on the audio, I don’t know how you can stand what sounds to be a rock hard tip? When I’m practicing/playing against the ghost, when I break, make a ball, and have a decent shot on the one ball with a path to the two ball as you had, I don’t take the ball-hand, and see if I can run out without it.
When I'm playing the ghost a set, if I decide to take the option to not take BIH after making a ball on the break and I have a good shot on the 1-ball, if I run out, it counts as 2 games for me instead of 1, as the bonus for running out without taking the BIH. If I fail to run out, I still only lose 1 game. Kind of makes it more fun as well as giving you a better chance to catch up if you are behind. Its a soft tip, a sniper. The BIH with an "easy-ish" start, I have done what you suggested in the past, and it almost always comes back to bite me. So now I always take BIH on ghost outs, even if I have the perfect angle off the break on the one. My skill level is where I may average 2 games in a race to 7 ghost, so I need every advantage I can get to beat him. I was keeping score trying to win 7 games before the ghost. This set I think I ended up losing 7-3.
Oh, my original plan was to go 2 rails from the 8 to the 9. But I hit the 7 too thick and my angle on the 8 became straighter than planned. Why couldnt you just follow off the 8B with some high and come down for the 9B?
When you fell straight in on the 5-ball, why didn’t you just follow through with the cue ball a little to leave a straight in shot on the six ball in the same upper corner you ended up playing it?Why couldnt you just follow off the 8B with some high and come down for the 9B?

5” on the nose. Factory GC4 setup. How narrow are your pockets?
Honestly..., and I don't mean to sound overly critical. I think you need to raise your personal bar on what you consider a nice out. The only difficulty with that rack was self induced. Maybe call title it, "Nice recovery by me"...
That said, your recovery shot on the 6 was very nice. ...and accepting the more difficult shot on the 9 rather than forcing shape play you're uncomfortable with is very disciplined. I would have definitely worked that 8 ball pocket and ran down table for the 9. 5" pockets allow you to do this from nearly anywhere.
That's about what I was playing. It had a bit of an angle so I couldn't get very straight, but I should have been much straighter than I was. I checked the video when I was editing it frame by frame (before uploading to YouTube), too see how fat I hit that shot. I saw the OB hit the thin side of the pocket. If I had hit the thicker side, I would have been straighter. I didn't want to go to the end rail and back. I wanted to play the CB forward just a couple inches like it did (but straighter). When you fell straight in on the 5-ball, why didn’t you just follow through with the cue ball a little to leave a straight in shot on the six ball in the same upper corner you ended up playing it?
