Hi everybody,
I just got this Beauty, I'm pretty much sure this is the nicest Kersenbrock cue I have ever seen.

Hey Vass,, Ive seen the posts on billiards forum and the pictures you included. The gentlemen who said my brother ordered the cue from Jerry Franklin is wrong. Ron ordered the cue from John Wright. John was selling Southwest cues and Kersenbrocks at the time. Im truly not sure who built Ron's cue. All I know is he paid John and about a month or so later Ron got his cue. And if anyone tells you I said different, their wrong. I dont like this fellow calling me a liar. I depend on my honesty and integrity and it shows in my business and the cues I build. I know one thing Vass, if you hit with one of my cues, only one rack, you will never play with anything else. I have designed a shaft that is unique and my butt designs and fits are identical to the "Jerry Franklin, Paul Kersenbrock" cues built 20 years ago. I just wanted to clear up the misunderstanding with the other people on billiards forum.

Need a matching predate SW? I have one almost identical except for the additional ring in the butt. Indian Rosewood with alves points and single white veneer as yours. I thought it was a Kersenbrock when I put my hands on it, sent it to Laurie, and now have a COA from her stating that it is a 1986 cue. 18.5 oz, 2 shafts with micarta ferrules. You can search the wanted for sale section to see pics, by searching "sale/trade" without any spaces. Not doubting the authenticity of yours, but I would want the paper to back it up.

I'm getting it authenticated for sure. There are so many signs this cue is a Kersenbrock.

Hey Vass thats a nice cue and it looks like I can see a signature in the second picture, the one of the forearm is this the owner's name?--Leonard

in the darker wood but maybe I'm seeing things again like the pocket that was there

Vass,

Since you mentioned "nicest" DKP, what do you think about this one?

NOTE: this is not for sale ...

Seller is a very honest person and he wanted to make sure a guaranteed product at least Pre-date sw.

I sold 2 Kersenbrock cues already and I'm very familiar with DPK work.

I never announced the cue for sale and I'm getting it authenticated,as a matter of fact the seller admitted it was a Kersenbrock.

Hi Ho,
your DPK is gorgeous but deffers from the classic 6 pointer look.

That's what I meant :)

I don't doubt it. The double ring in the butt is very Kersh-like. Sounds like you got a great deal. I almost bid to win this cue, but backed out because of I'm wary of ebay. If it is a K., then you got the cue dirt cheap.

Nice score.

if that Ebay cue is this cue it is most definitely a SW.i talked to the guy 3 times on the phone and offered him $2200 and he said he would get back to me next before noon and he tried to stall for 2-3 days so i cancelled my offer.looks like he should have taken it,but anyway he told me that he and his brother ordered it directly from Jerry with the special length butt sleeve.it is not a Kersenbrock.the first buyer is lying to you.he said he was with his brother when he ordered it.sorry.

david authenticated that he built it?....or do you just mean " SW built in the 80's".

it is a '86 SW.the original Ebay seller told me he was there when his brother ordred the cue.

I'm gonna be sending the cue to DPK shop for authentication.I know it's a Kersenbrock cue for a fact and the double ring work in the butt is a huge DPK sign.

His brother boght it from John Wright not directly from SW.

"Hi Vass, Im glad you like the cue. Its one of the most beautiful cues in that stlye Ive seen. I know the cue is worth more than you paid because I know its a kersenbrock. Ive seen some of Jerry's work in the 85 86 and 87 era and they are different. But to tell you the truth, Im glad you got the cue. You seem like a nice, honest fellow and I think someone who will appreciate the cue. Ron kept the cue as clean as possible like everything he owned. He was very particular and always had the best. As far as the shafts, I dont know who cleaned them but Im sure money wasnt an object with Ron, so Im sure he had a professional.

Yeah, I talked to him to. I actually asked him if it could be a Kersh, and he said no. He went on to detail his brothers' story.
