Don't you have something better to do. Why don't you give me your work address so I can come see whats up where you do business.

What if the guy selling this cue needs money to save to his life because he's dying of cancer. You just crapped on his deal. Is it too much to expect that you can't mind your own business.

NO, actually I don't have anything better to do, I am just sitting here at work bored in a DKNY suit with my J. Garcia tie, playing around on the net. If you really want to know I am going to be surfing the net till around 3 pm eastern, then, somewhere in there I am going to go harass my secretaries, take a couple of smoke breaks, since I just got a few Fuente cigars, and then I was thinking about challenging the office to a game of par 5 putt putt that we normally keep set up in the office.

As far as people selling things because they are dieing from cancer, wow, thats a scarey thought since both my parents died from cancer by the time I was 22, and had no life insurance, or medical insurance. SO yeah wow that brings back some memories.

Bishop's right you know. Heaven forbid someone actually makes a buck on your shift right? There is a right and several wrong ways to do things on here. If someone points you in the right (and it is right) direction, why snap at them and expose yourself even further? Hope you enjoy the sigar.

That is easily the most rediculous post ever. I guess you think listing DKNY and J. Garcia somehow gives you extra credibility. DKNY is laughable to begin with. Seriously I laughed out loud.

As far as your memories go if thats even a true story you of all people should realize the importance of needing every last penny to make it work. Having gone through tough times myself I understand that sometimes you need to liquidate to make it work. You may want to think that statement through again.

Nothing screams loser louder than someone desperately trying to make themselves look credible by drawing attention to what they wear. I'm still laughing at DKNY. I bet you where Tommy cologne too.

I tell you what since you're so successful and so important why don't you post your W-2 and your DL with your personal info blacked out less your name and we'll see how well you did. I'm willing to bet you don't have the stones to do it. I'm in graphic design too so I don't recommend photoshopping either.

Not that your income really means anything since arrogant morons can get rich too but you seem so proud so I'll put the challenge out there for you.

One of the biggest things lacking in the world today is common courtesy. There is no excuse for barging in on someone's sale.

Things can ALWAYS be bought cheaper, if you look hard enough. We often pay for convenience, availability, or simply for the good service, or buying history we've had from someone in the past. Sales people generally have different amounts of overhead, cost of goods, etc., so prices will generally vary on any commodity.

The beauty is that nobody is being forced to buy anything. They are generally adult enough to make those decisions themselves, without intrusion from parties that have no stake in the deal. If they need help in deciding whether or not to buy a cue, they can start their own thread and ask for advice. They can use the net for comparative shopping. There are many ways a prospective buyer can educate themselves without a "hall monitor"...

Steve, you made a very good post with worthwhile points. I, personally, never comment on prices that I think are on the high side....it's just not my style. But I respect the opinions of others that do, and their right to state them. AZ is first and foremost a discussion forum. JMO. When a thread, of any kind, is started the posters should know that what they say is wide open for discussion....like it or not. Again, IMO.

Hi Charlie,

I realize that a discussion forum is just that, but I still think that a little common courtesy goes a long way. There are plenty of parts of the forum where one's personal opinions can be aired, but I think that when there is a classified section where no opinions are really necessary, people should stay out unless they have a stake in the deal. I certainly don't think that these people would do this kind of thing if the parties involved were present, do you?

The only reasons I can think of to get involved in a classified forum without being a part of the deal may be that someone is absolutely sure that a deal is a scam (i.e. they have knowledge that the cue is being misrepresented, or if they know the salesperson to be a fraud, etc.) and even then, I would have to be positive that I was preventing a malicious act.

I certainly respect everyone's right to their own opinion, Charlie, and thanks for bringing up a valid point!

Regards,

Steve

I think 6ice6man6 was intially trying to be helpful. By the look at his post count, I am sure he didn't know any better. It is pretty much understood on here that the golden rule applies to the classified section. If someones comments arent helpful, keep your opinions off the thread.

If you are so incredibly "concerned", you are more than welcome to begin your own thread in the main forum section.

Az's history has been littered with flame wars, some of them very recently, and has led to bitter exchanges and even valued members being banned.

so the best advice that can be given is, if you feel an item is priced too high, don't attempt to "save" the reading audience, stay out of it, or post in the appropriate section.

First and formost, for all that had something intelligent to say I do THANK YOU very much (Sorry :( 6ice6man6 but atleast you have money thats just as good right?). I am not sure who is dieing from cancer or how that started but if someone is; good luck to you and yours with your health.

This cue is not mine, a friend ask me to post it for him. That is the price he was asking for the cue. I can not and will not judge him on his price and it is not my place to. He just ask me to post it up here since I have a raport with a few people on here and good credibility.

Whether you can still get the cue or not for $1600, $1700, $1800 or even $1900 I do not know, but I do know that he is asking $2000. If you dont like this; post all of your trash talk anywhere you like but dont post it in the classified section. ONCE AGAIN THIS IS FOR BUYING AND SELLING AND NOT OPINION POSTING.

Now I have actual pictures of the cue which I am going to send to the person who requested it so if you would like to take a look at some photos of the actual cue then please PM me with your email and I will send them to you.......Thank you!
