Nickel vs Dime Radius Long Shot Accuracy -Center CB

I hate can of worms... But I will say this, reality is truth. You have more contact area with a nickel or less radius than a dime, there for your not getting any extra throw on the cue ball, this tells you that in reality it can make long, short and most shots more accurate.

And anyone that claims that dime gets more english is just hopping on the band wagon of rumors. Smaller radius just makes for more accurate aiming for "applying English" But you can get the same kind of english with any tip radius, hardness and diameter.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, right. So you misjudge the center by half of the change in diameter...in this case it is 1/2mm, not 1/4mm. That is the same as six sheets of cheap notebook paper. Hitting twenty thousandths differently is not going to change where a ball goes by any significant amount.

Whenever the contact point is the size of the space inside the circle on a red circle cue ball.....it does make a difference.

Actually, you have the same contact area size. Check it out some time. One would think they would be different, but since the tips do compress, it turns out they are the same.

The shaft size inconsistency comes from the fact that you cannot see the center of your tip so you are judging center from what you can see which is the edge of the ferrule/tip... Until you retrain yourself in coming down from 12.75 to 11.75 you will be consistently missing where you think you are hitting by 1/4 mm....

Not sure I understand what you are saying. First it's not me having an issue it's the OPer. But that being said you don't have to see the center of your tip just the center of your cue, NO?
