Nine Ball Event: VIP Billiards, Catonsville MD (Sat. Jan 26, 2013)

Just to add, my good friend Todd Caldwell (TC9ball) from Village Billiards will be there doing cue repairs, he was there for Planet Pool recently and does great work, so if anybody needs a cleaning, new tip or anything else he has you covered!

I am also hoping to get there early enough to have a spot, I'm easy to beat so that should encourage some people to come out.

Also, DG- I still have your number maybe we can find time to play that set from SBE last year?

Doc,

sounds good if I am there and work doesnt call I may be game. Either way always look forward to meeting new players

My schedule just cleared up, I will try to make it. If I can I will be sure to show up right when the doors open to lock up a spot. If not, spectating may be an option...probably cheaper too! ;)
Would much rather have you play, so don't party too hard on Friday night!

Results!

Yesterday's event was a huge success as 40 players braved the weather to compete and have some fun.

Congratulations to Brett Stottlemyer who went through the field undefeated to claim first place.

Other notables present were Bobby Chamberlain, Joe Cataldi, Tommy Kay, Andy Lincoln, Danny Bell, Sergey Bolotin, Frank Bess, Tom Zippler, Rafael Reyes, Marlon Alcaraz and Steve Ball. Sergey, Marlon and Danny all had rough times and fell short of the money.

I would like to extend a special thanks to the six players who came all the way from the Eastern Shore!

Here are the results:

  1. Brett Stottlemyer = $500
  2. Bobby Chamberlain = $300
  3. Joe Cataldi = $180
  4. Tommy Kay = $120
  5. Andy Lincoln = $90
  6. Rafael Reyes = $90
  7. John Moody Sr. = $60
  8. John Moody Jr. = $60
  9. Steve Ball = $50
  10. Steve Wigglesworth = $50
  11. Tom Zippler = $50
  12. Frank Bess = $50

Word on the street was correct. It was a great event, as usual.

I also heard that the entire field cheered when they realized that Black-Balled didn't sign up and they could actually play for first place instead of second.
