nintendo wii pool

Is wii pool a good pool game? Are the physics accurate? Is the motion you make with the controller similar to stroking a cue? Just curious.

Although I haven't seen it myself yet (and the Wii controllers are very hard to come by...except on ebay for $400! ), I've heard that the 'stroke' with the Wii controller is very much like a real stroke.

I own the wii pool and yes, the controller is used very much like a cue, difference being no bridge hand.

What is remarkable is that to be god at this game, one MUST use follow, draw and english WELL, along with spped control to be consistently good at this game.

Unfortunately, only nineball is played with some rule differences.

Too bad they dont have straight pool.

Interesting. Sounds like you could fix the controller to the forearm of your cue with some rubber bands and actually use your cue as your game controller.

The wii is such a cool system. I think the motion-sensitive game controller is the future of console gaming.

Someone has. It's on Youtube somewhere. I had the link, but lost it. Just google "wii pool cue" and it should come up.

I can't get Youtube at my office, or I'd post it.

cool

I know I got a 58 once. I think I did better on another because I made a couple on the break. The tank game is the best- so frustrating though. I can only get to level 12 or 13.

You should youtube "mario galaxy" for a preview of what is coming this year.

Zelda was fun.

Its pretty fun, but after a rack or 2 of Wii pool it just makes me want to go downstairs and play the real thing.

Aye, there's the rub. I always thought that the whole Wii gaming system was somewhat of a novelty. It was really fun at first, and for non-sports games its still pretty fun. But after an hour of bowling on Wii sports, or a couple games of Wii pool... well... I'd rather really be playing pool!

The Wii is a great game and quite accurate to the real game play however it is very expensive and I would just rather go and play real pool anyday.

The tank game is pretty sick when playing 2 players. I can't wait for tiger woods to come out!

Maybe, but the problem is that motion sensitive controls requires physical activity that you may or may not want to bother with after a long day at work.

Video games are a relaxing diversion for me and I really don't want to be waving some controller around around after a 10 hr day of work. Especially for the first person shooters which requires you to keep your arm elevated through the entire game.
