The last person I knew that never made a mistake did nothing.....

But playing it safe is what's "risky", because NOTHING new comes out of it.

Hillbilly is not going either as I just talked to him last night.

Money is one of the problems. The other is that Charlie doen't feel very good about pool right now. He is actually questioning whether he wants to continue or not.

This event will miss both of you. Best wishes.
Ironman, Hillbilly may having an epiphony that will change his life. How many pool players you know that make a decent living?

I find it hard to believe that TV will braodcast Darts and Poker tournaments and have advertisers but pool takes a back seat on advertising dollars. I believe that the pool community has not done enough to promote our sport. Even bowling has more staying power than pool. this is incredible!!!!!

Not many and even less tournament players. So, I may agree with ya. THings happen for reasons, and yes, worse things could happen.

I just wish the circumstances were different. I hate to see so many so talented with their heads down and feeling beaten. No matter how hard you try to explain to them that it is not their fault, they still feel violated. Now I understand better how a victim of sexual assault must feel. Maybe not a good comparison, I don't pretend to understand perfectly, but a little bit better.

Years ago I was at some tournament and watching an action match whilebull$hitting with Kieth. One player made an inctedible backwards cut and when snow came off the fourth rail, it just rubbed another ball and scratched. The whole crowd ached for the guy. Kieth rather soberly said, "you know, you spend your whole life at this game and you learn not to ask for much in return, but this game just proves that life ain't always fair."

Hopefully the Players will get on with their lives and be productive. It is my wish that they realize that they were screwed by a very unhealthy, unstable individual who has little regard for right and wrong. It is not the fault of the game itself. It's a good game and should be enjoyed. For many I understand that it was a substitute for life, and maybe that is the problem

They were screwed by KT and KT would have to stand on Denos shoulders to kiss their ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww Gee,

I was at the pool room and told a bunch of guys what Nostroke posted here and they were all laughing it up. Now that I find out that it was all a big lie how am I going to face the people at the pool room and tell them that I lied to them?

Will they believe me now? How about all the people that they spread the lie to?

I think I am going to hide under a rock and keep away from the pool room until this all blows over......

Jake

Jake.....they were "laughing it up" over the story of the apparent misfortune of other pool players?

Am assuming and hoping you were not being that serious when you described it like that but the above begs the question as to why anyone other than a numbskull would even hang around with the kind of wankspots who would think it funny that a pool player couldn't go to a top international event that he'd qualified for because he'd been stiffed out of promised prize money, far less worry about whether those wankspots ever believed them again?

Deno isn't tall enough to get KT high enough to kiss people ass. Deno's EGO is plenty big enough but it's not of any substance so it won't work either.

(I learned a little something about Mr. Arrogance... his ego is going to be shrinking here very shortly. ;) )
