There is one more item that some how I feel I must clear up, Brady mentioned that I did not get a hold of him untill two days after the event which false and frankly what I call candycoating the situation. I finished 7th one spot above Archer and on the last day of the tournament, before the finals match between Efren and Young Wha I asked Brady in a nice manner where do I collect my prize $? He invited me to Q-Master's and said there would be a party and that I would get paid then, I found that to be strange but I tooki a cab to his establishment and there was no Brady and no party, I then proceeded to ask the gentleman at the counter how I could get in touch with Brady, I didn't mention this to anyone except my friend Max Eberly out of respect for Brady. All of this happened on the last day of the event and NOT TWO DAYS AFTER THE TOURNAMENT as he stated in his last post, when they called Brady he said he was not going to be able to make it, I told him that I was heading back to MO in the morning. He said that he would meet me for breakfast and pay me then, by this time I was a little concerned on whether I would get paid or not the next morning (one day after the tourney) I called him again and he said "I'm two hours from you so give me your address and I will mail you a check". I contacted him about one month after the tournament and he said he would get me the $ but it would take a while, a year later I realized I was not having any success so I turned the situation over to my father who knows more about this stuff than I do. My Dad is persistant and finally Brady changed his phone # so he would not have to deal with my Dad. In three and a half years there was no reply from Brady except to shake my hand and be my buddy when he saw me out on the upa tour. The weather was not an issue as to why the certain players did not get paid either, I just wish for once that when someone makes a mistake that they would not colorcoat the situation with excuses another words just apologize and pay up.
It still remains to be seen on whether I will get paid or not but even if I do I will not go back to competing untill they start playing on real pool tables, a bar table plays more difficult by far than what I saw at the World Championships. With diamond tables you have to throw the bridge on the floor as there is never a bridge holder which is a 'pet peve' of mine, But the pockets are generally good cause of how the slate goes back further as with the Olhausen table. Which makes for much cleaner shot making skills even with new cloth where the balls slide in, well enough rambling on the tour and in this forum have a good day everyone and get paid.
Sincerely, "Springfield Danny"
