At the end of the day, the Mosconi Cup is the event that's been the most popular for pool outside of the pool audience in the last 20 years. Many people in Europe who only knew about snooker or carom were drawn to pool by seeing it on TV.
Matchroom has made their own calls and choices for the last 19 years and the only one I can recall that was bad was to have an even number of matches in 2006, that ended up in a draw.
As for the rest, votes in 2009, rankings in 2011 and 2012; handpicks, working with the PCA or the PBTA in the 90s,... It all turned out great.
USA are ahead 11-7 and, must I add, 3-2 in matches in Las Vegas.
Let's wait until all the details unfold, guys. No doubt to me, that this Mosconi Cup will be awesome
