Maybe I’m missing it because I’m blind but when did az cut ties with seyberts? There is no longer a link to marketplace on the home page

i dont look at those things but if you want to put an ad or your logo on a site you have to pay. maybe they decided not to anymore.
a site will go out of business if it doesnt make money. as its a business.
companies should support az as its long term survival helps all billiard companies.

I don't know the full financials of both sites. But possibly the contract ran out and Seyberts didn't renew or didn't pay the bill.

They possibly could not get enough traffic from this site. They might be getting more traffic direct or from google or some other search engine. It's always about the mighty $$

That’s what I’m thinking. I just don’t remember marketplace ever not being there and it not taking you to seyberts lol

Maybe they didn't want to be associated with a billiards/political forum anymore. Too much derisive rhetoric.
Seriously doubt that played any part of this decision. Seyberts knows EXACTLY how pool players are. They would have never gotten on-board if this was their worry. IMO Seybert's has gotten the needed exposure and feel that the outlay of ad $$ is no longer needed. they're basically a household word in pool.

We should all be sure to click advertisers links on the azb

Each one is a forkful of food for the house pro's babies.

Oh please...That sub-forum is one tiny area of the entire space. Step back and take in the entirety of the site. You have excellent billiards analysis, a healthy Main Forum with excellent discussion, a for sale section that is completely free to use, no forced membership fees, the ability to get advice from Cue-Makers, cue machinery and supplies, etc.

Most of the folks who complain about NPR, either don't visit, or are part of the problem. I would also reiterate, participation in NPR is voluntary...if you don't like some of the content, don't visit. Nobody is twisting anyone's arm, you are all adults.

While NPR certainly has some biting discussion, I will tell you that most of the regulars in that space, were the first one's to step up to the plate and participate in the Hurricane Relief Raffle that we conducted earlier this year. Certainly these folks rough each other up a bit, but they are the first one's to lend a hand, donate an item, or offer kind words to each other in times of trouble, regardless of politics.
Just a little food for thought.
Best regards

Im having some difficulty believing that required explaining.

I think i'm one of about five people at my spot that DOESN'T have one of those ganja vaporizers. Everybody in there is high.
And people wonder why things these days are so f'd up.

I think it has to be related to the fact that these days' people are so f'd up.

I think I saw the pens can be like 80% THC and plants can't consistently go above 30%...and today's reefers are way more potent than ever.

I never see any of that.. because I stay out of the ot section. I doubt that that played any part In it.

The "THC" that's in the pens is also basically a weed hotdog. It's a bunch of left over garbage lying around on the floor or at the end of the manufacturing process that has no other use so it gets processed into an oil that then gets vaped. I don't really care what people do but if I'm partaking in jazz cabbage I'd like to know it's not industrial waste going into my lungs.

Reminds me my vegetarian friends whose diets consist of ramen noodles and fake chicken nuggets made out of some soy mixture cooked up in a lab. Just like our ancestors used to eat in the grasslands.
