The Norseman Cometh...Be Prepared! - 10-10-2011, 01:34 AM
I recently received The Norseman Cometh, a stunning case made by Phil Eastwood, Quiverz Sport Cases. The case will guard one of several Viking-themed custom cues I own, likely a unique, special Manzino Viking Warrior that Bob completed for me in late 2010.
No photos can show how amazing the case is in person, when held or viewed closely. This case is intended to represent a Viking Warrior, with the top of the case as the Viking`s helmet in full war readiness. It is unbelievable to say the least.
I displayed the case at the ICCS Show this week in St. Louis, and the comments and attention came non-stop. It was a real addition for the show.
The interior is extremely well built, with fully lined tubes separated by leather and great tooling in the underside as well. The notion of form following function has been strictly adhered to with the Norseman.
With a great, well constructed padded strap, the case is very comfortable to carry into battle.

Hi All,

When I first received the Norseman Cometh case in 2011, I was in love with the case, and owned the perfect
Viking Warrior themed cue to pair up with the case; a Schick fully scrimshawed cue that matched perfectly.
I had commissioned Phil Eastwood to make the Norseman case, and was absolutely delighted upon its delivery.

Five years later, we decided to colorize the case, for two reasons. First, I own a dozen of Phil's high end tooled cases
and am well aware of his prowess with appropriate color in his creations. Second, the Norseman case has some intricate detailing,
some of which is not apparent with the case all one color. So we embarked on the re-boot.

Wow, am I ever glad we stepped forward and Phil was gracious enough to take on the project. The case is simply magnificent,
and when holding in your hand with details so clear and crisp, the case has been elevated to an even higher level.
Hard to believe, but perfection has been achieved.

If anyone has been considering Phil Eastwood for a case to go with a particular cue, now is a great time to contact him.
You will be pleased at the value for work performed, and will have a family heirloom for generations.
Phil is a world class caliber artist, craftsman, leatherworker, sculptor, canvas painter, again.....amazing.....

Phil, thanks for such wonderful work.
