RKC recommends lifting them manually without any help. This builds strength and stamina for when you need to stretch the cloth during installation.Anyone know where to get one? Re they actually worth it? The Nortech site is down, and billiardwholesalers.net requires you to be a business just to see the price. Any help appreciated.

RKC is a bear, I've personally seen him pick up and reposition 1 pc slate of a diamond pro am with one hand while working with the other to position slats under it.RKC recommends lifting them manually without any help. Well, what I have to pay someone to help me, (and they only lift the slate) and being 57 and having had 2 neck surgeries, 1 lower back surgery, and carpule tunnel surgery in both hands.....anything that saves further wear and tear is a plus in my book. When younger, 2 of us would just grab it end for end and lift it out and turn it sideways, even 8ft slate tables. To be young again...with the knowledge we have nowMy 2 cents - no.
Time-consuming and expensive at $300+
I actually laughed out loud at the joke. All kidding aside, my father-in-law drove a moving truck for over 40 years. He was overweight but the functional strength, particularly hands/forearms, was absurd. Even now, three years out from having a fairly debilitating stroke limit the movement of his left side, I guarantee he can grip harder with his bad hand than I can with my good one.damn ... i was only kidding.... RKC please dont hurt me

What slate are you talking about lifting? Are the holes in the slate strong enough to put a pipe through them to lift with?
I was thinking 3pc 30mm slate. The table that got me thinking was a Palason or GC .What slate are you talking about lifting?
GC don't have 30mm slates, and are you talking about moving them? I thought you were talking about lifting them up in order to install the bed cloth.I was thinking 3pc 30mm slate. The table that got me thinking was a Palason or GC .
I'm thinking it probably depends on the table?
