Nostalgia, including the "Dove"

I thought I'd seen all the YouTube videos, but this one caught me by surprise. A relatively young Steve Mizerak, demonstrating with his Bushka "Dove" cue, with demonstrations by Eva Mataya, and Jim Mataya. I'm not sure when this was, I'm guessing early 80s or so. Enjoy.

All the best,
WW

The title says 1989.

Very cool find. I am a big Miz fan. Thank you.

.

Yep, I noticed the title, but it was obviously filmed before that. In 1989, Mizerak had been playing with a Richard Black cue for a few years, and they all look way younger than they did in 1989.

All the best,

That video, the hustling video from Pretty Boy Floyd, and one more called 'Learn from the Best', were all filmed in Aspen at a big tournament in 1988 IIRC. They sold them on ESPN and probably other cable channels as well.

Here is the Learn from the Best video filmed at the Hotel Jerome in Aspen (the others were at the Paragon Ballroom btw).

Well, good catch. Knew it had to before 1989, as Steve had gone to the Richard Black cue for the US Open Straight in Chicago in 1989 (won by Oliver). Thought it was a bit earlier than that, but if nothing else, it establishes when Steve switched cues.

All the best,
