Possibly for sale, Cue question....

I just picked up a Balabushk1 GB-8 for a song this week. Cue is brand new condition and I know the original owner.

Anyhow, the Irish Linen wrap came loose and was spinning when you shoot with it. I peeled the wrap off already and have someone here in town that will put a new wrap on it and does really nice work for only $40.00...

Question is, what color wrap do you think will look good on it?

It has a Green and Orange veneer around the Ebony points. He had a Black and green speckled Wrap as well as Black and white. I was thinking straight black myself but am open to some ideas.

Dropping the cue off tonight.

Also, if I do not like it when it is done, I will be putting it up for sale since it really isnt what I was looking for when I bought it. Just helping out a friend who is moving out of state next week and needs extra moving $$$....

Like I said, it is 95+%...

if you're going to put a "just black" linen wrap on it...why not do black leather? just asking.

Black with white spec would probably be best if you are going to resell it...I almost bought one of these myself, this exact model off fleabay last week before I got that Schon.

Change of subject...
Shorty, did anyone take you up on your offer to use your gas and your van to get to the ICC?
If I had flown in the area, I would have done it for you being that both of us are looking to meet Bill (when I get my cue back, you will see why).
Keep stroking!

White with green speck, or white with brown speck, or white with black speck.

Straight black linen looks like ass, trust me.

Gotta agree with Buddha on this one. The theme of the cue is based on a traditional look... so you should stick with a traditional style wrap. IMHO. If you want to stay on the darker side to carry the color of the points then maybe go with the black with white specs like this GB-8

Post some pics when you get it done. Would like to see how it turns out!

If you decide to sell it PM me!

Got anything you wan't to trade?

I just aint feeling this cues looks, I am not much of a traditionalist with this crosses and stuff.

Although this stick does play Excellent. But, so do the 4 other ones I already have....

What's you got to barder with I maybe interested is?

I decided on a traditional black/white spec wrap for ir like what came with it...

Nope...spent the day with the family. Sometimes things just don't work out.

Stick was dropped off tonight and should be done tomorrow or Tuesday. I got a line on another Balabushka "helmsetter" today at my buddies pool league. This one is an 8 point and has no veneers on it and more modern IMHO.

I may take this one from him and will be selling my GB-8.....

Cyrex, I'll post some pictures of it when I get it back and will mail em to you or post them here.

I went with Black with white specs to keep the originallity of it intact.

Sorry, I'm more of a cue enthusiast than a collector. It's hard enough shooting with the cue I have now let alone trying to decide which to use. =o]
However, my friend is looking for a cue which is why I'm interested if you decide you want to get rid of it. I'll definitely let him know.
