I've tried and tried for a few months to run 100 one more time on the BB. Highest tries were in the 40's with 2/50+ and one 63. It's not going to happen (100), get too sore and tired too quickly. I need more than 45 minutes to an hour each session to get in a good stroke stroke. Oh well, can still run a few racks of 9 ball at 75 years old. Hope everyone had a great Thanks Giving. Johnnyt
That's great playing for anyone, regardless of age. I don't know if you are able to do any sort of physical resistance training?, but my 85 year old great uncle started training with weights a couple of years ago and after about 6 months of this he claimed he was in better shape than he'd been in 25 years. Now he's extraoridinarily fit. He started doing squats with just body weight and now he does them with quite a bit of weight, along with some other basic exercises. It was remarkable to see just how fast his condition improved, not only strength but general stamina. Now he's able to go hunting in a traditional style over here, that requires a lot of walking with a backpack etc. Like he said, when your legs are strong, you are strong! Applies to pool as well, I think.
Still, I guess he was lucky to be healty enough for it at that age. If you have some limitations on what you can do, then there still might be some exercises that can be adapted for you. Worth a try, I think.
