Not Many Post From Timberly And Straybullet....

Oh I know what egregious is. I was asking what egrarious is? I also understood which word was being used. I guess I am just fussy about getting close to the right spelling of a word. I understand typos, my posts are full of them, I also understand misspellings, my pride has taken quite a hit in the last few years each time I stumble on how to spell words where I never had a problem in my younger days. What I don't get is when someone types out something that sounds kind of similar phonetically to the word they are reaching for but is not really close to the proper spelling. How about reaching for a dictionary if you are unsure about the spelling?

I just feel that it's curtsyess to know and use words correctly, and spell them right.
Hey Roadie,
If you're going to be persnickity about my spelling, my eyes popped out
 when I saw your making up a new word: "curtsyess."

And the funniest thing is, the pic was drawn by like what, a 5th grader?

Which means they have a much better grasp of symbolic thinking than you do.

Hilarious!

Someone tell this poor troll what the pic means, please.

(Hint for jaspers.. Right clicking and looking at the properties of the pic MIGHT give you a clue.)

Russ

I'm not telling him what color pots and kettles are. (PS Jasper, I think he was trying to call you black!) <Pot Stirrer!>

Anyway, I just restarted my computer because Straybullet told me to and there are no more colors on my screen. :( :p

He misspelled it that way on purpose. He was jes' poking a little fun. :D

And generally, people don't make a big deal out of a misspelling if it is obvious what word is being referenced.

In the case of "egrarious", well, it looks like an actual word. More like a melding of "gregarious" and "egregious". One has a positive connotation, one has a negative connotation. "Egregious" did not immediately come to mind when I saw egrarious.

I think what he meant was no need to post a definition. All you needed to do was post the corrected spelling.

To tell you the truth, I have a massive vocabulary, but when I saw "egrarious", I thought about going to look up the word, as I thought it might be a word I had never seen, or learned at one time and forgot the meaning of.

I think he kind of took it as being spoken (written) down to, when you posted the definition without mentioning that you misspelled the original so badly it was not apparent which word you were using.

Please don't take offense, he probably just had no idea which word you were using, and might have looked it up and found nothing even close.;)

Now THAT's a GOOD hint!

(Still doesn't think jasper will "get" it.. But grabs some popcorn and sits down to wait for the results..)

Oh no, I'm not getting tricked like that again. I received my one and only ever bad feedback splodge for doing that. From now as far as I'm concerned pots of all shapes and colors have the right to do and say whatever they wish from the safety and comfort of their own glass houses.
LMAO, now that's funny, thanks for the laugh! :D

<side note> You've only gotten ONE negative???

LOL, my reaction to only one is the same reaction that I have when people say they've never gotten a speeding ticket or they've only gotten one.

I guess I do EVERYTHING in excess.

:p

(Giggle) Somehow, I knew you wouldn't be smart enough to get it.

Don't worry. After you stew for a while, a kind hearted forum member will be along to interpret the pic for you.

Didn't do many of the picture puzzles as a kid, eh?

That is what you would say, right? "Eh"?

Since you're from Canada.. Right?

Uh huh.. I believe you.. No, really! I do!

Russ

Dave
