Not yer grampa's pool hall

UPDATE:

Went to this new pool room last weekend. Took my son to shoot for a few hours as he was home on Thanksgiving break from school.

Great room. Tables not only look great, play fantastic, but are immaculate. Coffee bar is in the front of the pool room. So, if you are just there to get coffee and hang out on your laptop, that's cool. It won't bother the pool players at all.

Seems like a cool neighborhood place with good food, and nice beer selection. Seems like they have lots of fancy coffee concoctions but I've never drank a cup of coffee in my life so not really sure how to rate that part :)

Prices were pretty reasonable, but if folks are using to playing for free or $3 hour there will be some sticker shock, but I don't mind paying as the guy has to stay in business too. I think it was about $9 per hour for 2 players. Saturday afternoon, with about 4 tables going. I'm sure Saturday nights are hoping.

And they have a parking lot which is nice :)

This was the old Marie's Golden Cue pool hall. So, it's just got updated and they did a great job on the décor.

You must have played on a different table than JR and I played on. The first table we played on, all the back on the left side, rolled off so bad it was unplayable. We moved to another table that was much better but still had problems but. Beautiful room for a banger but I won’t be playing a money game there.

PS. I’ll probably be at Chris’s tomorrow. I hope Ghost is ready:) or first come first gets played:smile:
I might get to Red Shoes by 10 tonight if I’m not beat from flying all day.

I've only played on a couple tables there - both fine, but they weren't the one you played on. I'll mention your comments to the owner - I'm sure he'll appreciate the feedback and take care of it.

My interest is piqued but all I can see is a sign on a storefront. The guy has one place called Surge and another called Pressure? Something a bit odd going on there. Maybe he needs to see somebody about that (somebody mentioned Stormy Daniels in another thread)... kidding. :)

Here's a link to photos for those of you like me too lazy to google it:

It does look quite nice.
