Nov 4-8 2009, BCAPL State 9 Ball Championships

this will be a fun event, tell your friends. Hey tell your enemy's, gotta have someone you love to beat

?

what are the restrictions with the open teams? can you have a master or does the team have to consist of all open players?

being only three person team, we don't think there is a fair way to allow a master on the team. Sorry but no masters on teams.

Bump

Bump Up, I know Nov is a few months away but I'd like to see a good turnout for this tournament.

Since the people running it are no longer local, we need to support the BCAPL State Tourneys if we want to continue having them.

Weeks Qualified?

How many weeks does a player have to play of BCA league to qualify for these events?

Thanks Kennan

Eligibility for Texas State 9Ball Championship

Here is the information right off of the Event Registration form

**Eligibility: Current BCAPL membership for 2009 is required to play in this 2009 Texas State 9-Ball Championships.
*** Team Member Eligibility: Both the Open/Mixed and Women teams will be made of 3 players all must be from the same league number. In the Open/Mixed teams 2 members (“core members’) must be from the same league team. The Women teams require the 3 players only be from the same league number.

Master Players on 3 man teams.

I don't understand why your eliminating the masters from the team play? Our team has 12 players (8 open players & 4 master players), so if everyone played we could have 4 teams playing. Since the rules say they have to be on the same team, looks like they are being punished for knowing & playing the game better than some. Saying it would not be fair to have a master player on a 3 man team, everyone knows most of the masters and it would be easier to put 3 top level players that could be equal or better than the other masters.

This is called BCAPL State Championship and all rosters can be checked with the BCA, so eliminating some BCA members is not justified IMO.

I don't mind the rule of not having a Master player on a THREE-person team. I do however think there are enough Master players to have a master team division. IMHO.

I agree and we will make an anouncement on Monday. We just feel on a three person team a master is just to big an advantage. We are working on a solution, will take suggestions. Believe me, we do not want to exclude anyone. Thank you for all the input.
