And, for what it's worth, I didn't mind paying the extra 6 bucks for shipping since I'm overseas. I totally understood that and was more than willing to pay it. My entire problem with this is that no effort was taken to package this. The DVD doesn't even have anything written on it, it's just a plain white disc. I could lay it on my desk and it would get lost.

How many of you would pay $41.00 for this?

You're probably right. That "$0.00" on the shipping stamp got under my skin really bad. I still think it wouldn't have killed whoever put this together to at least print out a cover for the disc.

HOWEVER....

You seem to "come" with, in my opinion, the most outrageous moron stuff at times. RonV call collect post, buying one of the most valuable 14.1 DVDs ever in the history of earth and then project about being "PISSED" that the label wasn't right.

If we frequented the same pool hall, you're the person I'd strive to keep away from me. I actually get worked up reading some of your stuff ... it's THAT simple, naive and ignorant.

Edit: I'm sure you're the nicest guy in the world... and we'd hang fine in a bar... just not in a pool hall.

i remember when i was in college i ordered some pool DVD's from ebay, i also knew who the guy was on here (i'm never going to name a name so thats that...i've lurked for a long time and only recently began posting at all) and i forget what i paid but i got some burned DVD's which stopped working after about 20 views. hahahah. sigh... live an learn.

but....this DVD is a little different, i think. i don't think it cost nothing to get to japan, and i know you are irked by the presentation, which is OK for you as the buyer .

but......just remember whats on it man. danny is a pool player and is not rich, this is his talent and hes trying to do the best with it. guys like danny that can run a gazillion balls make all this typing and cue buying and "run this" posts worthwhile.....i like your posts and if you are anything like most of the other people here, you'll probably wanna screw your cue together and study the game after watching it, and forget all about this stuff, because thats what a good player does, makes you wanna play a little more.

I got a private message from someone that simply said "Mully, sit down and watch the disc then post again"

I took the disc and put it in and watched a few minutes. Ok, danny put a lot of effort into the production of this. I may have come on strong with it, but I'm still not thrilled about the packaging.

Danny, I apologize for getting so heated because it does seem like this is going to be invaluable for someone like me trying to learn 14.1 the right way. I'm just picky about packages and I still think it would have been nice to at least make a cover for the disc so I don't have to.

these days, its pretty rare to purchase digital content that includes physical media. What I mean, is - you have to start realizing that liner notes are a thing of the past! I mean, most music is now played from either a computer or an ipod type gadget these days. The same is happening to video content - heck, first thing I'd do is rip and convert the dvd and put it on my ipod! That would be the last time I would see a blank white dvd.

Its about content - not packaging. You're paying for the 1s and 0s - DIGITAL CONTENT. Would you feel bad paying $35 for an mpeg download of that high quality content? Then you shouldn't feel bad about the packaging of the content.

Danny Harriman, front and center, young man. I just got the DVD in the mail, literally less than 2 minutes ago. Do you think it would have been too much trouble to have made a decent looking cover and label for this DVD? Look, I paid you 35.00 for your DVD and then you send a message after payment was sent requesting 6 bucks more to cover shipping. The shipping label that the post office puts on with the dollar amount for shipping says "$0.00" I highly doubt the post office charges money for shipping and then puts a label on saying it didn't cost anything.

I am extremely pissed off right now. Had this DVD looked like any effort had been taken to make the package reflect what was inside I wouldn't say anything. But this damn thing is just a flat out burned copy with a simple thank you hand written on the cover. I feel ripped off. $41.00 for this shit? You gotta be kidding me.

No, I haven't seen the video yet. That's not the point. The point is that you're charging 35.00 to take a burned DVD and toss it into an envelope and then mass mail it. I'm going to contact the post office and see exactly how much shipping was. If it was in fact "$0.00" you and I are going to have problems.

All of this could have been avoided if you had just taken 5 minutes on your computer to make a cover for the damn package.

You know, even a simple white cover that said what was inside would suffice. I'm not saying this has to be in the highest quality jewel case with contents printed down the back and all done up like Hollywood, but the effort of a simple label would have been nice. I wouldn't have thought anything about it.
