Nxt Wax

not sure if it applies to Poly Clear Coat but i would never apply wax to fresh paint.

I was told by my local body shop to give 30 days on an automotive clearcoat before you apply a wax. I use their scratch x on the clearcoat and works really well. I'm going to have to pick up some Nxt and give it a shot.

I put NXT Wax on some caps after polishing the Poly Clear Coat with Mequiar's #7 Polish. After drying, I wiped the NXT off and could definently see the colors were richer and deeper..My fingers just glid over the surface...Amazing....

If not for cues,....can always use it on your car....

I tried NXT on the 'Vettes. Not bad but Zaino gives it the 7 and the snap any day.

If the finishis new don't wax it. Use a glaze instead.

Thanks for that info. I didn't think about a waiting period. Just wanted a surface protection before I send my caps out.
Thanks for the info everyone....:)

I'm using the Dupont Chromaclear. After final clearcoat I let it sit for a couple of days and then wet sand the whole cue with 2000. I finish it up with 3m perfect-it 3000 rubbing compound and glaze. Comes out looking like glass. When one of my cues come back in my shop I use the McGuires Scratch x for a quick tune up.

I've been using a 3M scratch & swirl compound, then fine tune with the Scratch-X also. Seems to work on different type finishes.

best polish i have found is made by car a detailing company called Ardex.it seems better than the big name brands you can buy instore.my buddy owns a detail shop and he has tried them all.

NXT is a pretty decent wax. It's one of the few that doesn't leave streaks on aged, dark colored, single stage lacquer paints. For best results use a cleaner or polish before you wax. It will make a noticeable difference in the shine. Meguiars #2 or #3 polishes in their pro line are good, as well as their Clearcoat Body Scrub in the consumer line. The absolute nuts to bring up a shine is their #7 Show Car Glaze, as long as the surface is smooth and reasonably scratch-free. Put a coat of NXT over a #7-treated surface and you'll have all the shine you can get.
Wax on-Wax off Daniel-san.
