I have a Ob-1 shaft that is a few years old with a 5/16 x 14 piloted joint
Is it possible to send the shaft back to the ob company and have them switch the joint to a uniloc joint without hurting the shaft structure or playability ??? Normally I would just buy another shaft but I am not sure if I am going to keep the cue or sell it so I just thought this would be a cheaper way to experiment and add a extra shaft to the cue.

Any help is Greatly Appreciated

Thanks............Paul

The easiest way to get the answer you're looking for is to call OB yourself. 1-877-399-9901 is the number listed on their website.

Hi Paul,

Things are a bit hectic for Royce at the moment, he just recently lost his dad so I will answer your question for you. My name is Grace Nakamura and I am a player/rep for OB. It is NOT advisable to change a pre existing joint in a shaft. You are better off purchasing a new shaft with the uni-loc joint. If you need more assistance you can call me at (615) 562-3992...Royce probably will not be available for a few days. Or you can call the office if you prefer.

Regards,
Grace

Thanks for the Reply,

My condolences to Royce and his family. I am having some tough times as well between my Mother, Girlfriend and Myself all having Medical issues.
I normally would just buy a new shaft for the cue. The problem is that I am probably just going to sell the cue so I really did not want to spend the extra money on a new shaft that I may only use 1 time and not be able to get money back.

Thanks..............Paul
