OB-2 thread issue?

I have an ob-2 that fits well on two of my cues. Great shaft, by the way. Recently bought a new cue and it does not fit straight on the butt. Meaning if you look down the length of the cue it is crooked.
Yet if I attach any other of my shafts to the new butt they are perfect. And the ob-2 is fine on the other cues as well.
Could this be a thread issue?
I want for this new cue to be my main player so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

this is a good question. I'd suggest also posting in the "Cue Maker" section. Between here and there you should get about 20 different answers by the end of the day. lol

yes

This could def. be a thread issue or even a facing issue if i was you i would bring it to your local cue maker

yup, sounds like the pin is bent, or the face isnt square. There are many cuemakers on here that will take care of you for a great price. go to the ask a cuemaker section, and you will find more help than you need. I know I did! lol.

Centerpunch,

Where are you located?

I would love to get a look at it, but you may have to send it to me.

Do you have a good cue smith in your area? Give me a call tomorrow, 877-399-9901. We will figure out the best way to get it taken care of.

Worst case scenario, you can send it to me and we can either fix it or replace it if the issue is with the cue shaft, which it sounds like it might be.

I will be looking forward to your call.

if its shaft rolls straight alone and with other butts, and not straight with a the one you want to be your main, its probably the pin on the non straight cue combination.

Either that or the rest of the cue butts or pins are not straight and the insert isnt installed properly on the shaft, and it just happens to roll straight when you have those combinations. (odds very low)

Thanks for the informative replies. I discovered tonight it is the pin on the new cue. The problem will be fixed soon by the original cue builder. Top-notch guy who without question is standing behind his work.
And thank you Royce for showing your concern not knowing quite which was to blame. I appreciate a company standing behind their product 100%.
