Hi Everyone,

Im new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could help me with info regarding the OB classic pro shaft. I'm very interested in purchasing a this shaft, but I would like to test it out or at least see it up close before I pay 200 dollars for it. I dont anyone or any dealers near the Belleville Illinois area who has this shaft. So, if anyone could give me some feedback this that would be great.

It's a good playing shaft but you might also want to try the newTiger X-pro that just came into the market. I love that one. It's a matter of prefrence.

Hey I just purchased the Ob classic. I've been shooting with this shaft for about 2 days now and i have to say it's a really nice shaft. Im upgrading from a McDermott g core shaft and the things you can do with the ball (hitting off center of cb) are pretty nasty. No wiggle when you're shooting an english shot, but it takes some getting used to not having to compensate so much from a regular solid piece shaft. Thing I don't like about the regular classic is it feels really thick. I compared it to my McDermott and the taper on the McDermott is narrow the length of the shaft while the Ob is more cone shaped. My Mcdermott feels skinnier being a 13mm tip. I can say if you get the shaft get the pro. I've heard from several people, and they've all said the 11.75 feels thick. I also heard it's even stiffer then the regular classic. Hope this helps, you definitely won't be disappointed in an Ob. Oh i also noticed that the classic is very comparable to a heavy wood shaft(weight wise). That also takes some getting used to.

i would buy one and take your other shafts out of the case and just play with the ob. it may take a day a week or a month but once you get used to it I believe you will play better with the ob because it is a outstanding product. The customer service is light years better than predator too imho

I have an OB Classic in a 30" length. I liked it the day I got it and I still prefer it to any other shaft I own. I'm not a big fan of laminated tips, but the Everest that is on it is a very nice playing tip ( I won't cut off a $12 tip, but when it's time, I'll slap a Triangle on it). Hit is somewhere in between stiff and medium. Taper is very similar to a Predator 314. Maybe a tad thicker around the joint down a few inches (meaning the shaft doesn't start tapering quite as soon as the Pred does, but just SLIGHTLY). The quality is great as was the customer service. I think you would find an OB Classic to your liking.

OB Classic Pro Shaft

To define: The OB Classic tip diameter is 12.75mm.
The OB Classic PRO tip diameter is 11.75mm.

That being said, I had played the OB-1 (12.75mm) from when it came on the market and LOVED IT ~! When the OB Classic shaft came out, I tried it and LOVED IT EVEN MORE ~!

Unlike the OB-1 which has a foam type core running through it, the Classic does not, making it a stiffer shaft, kind of like the Schon shaft. The Classic still has the very low deflection characteristics though. The big difference to me is when you hit the cue ball hard (long shot), it seems to keep the shaft on line better and you make more of those shots. The OB-1 seems to have more flex, more touch or feel, but yes, you can "juice" spin the OB-1 more and get more action on the cue ball. I.M.O.

Never mind my above comments as I am now aware that the OP was refering to the OB Classic PRO shaft. My bad!!!
