Ob classic

If I say yes, do I get a cookie?

You've been here since 2004 and don't know how to search? I'm pretty sure there is a thread about OB shafts on the 1st and 2nd pages of the main forum.

They're both very low deflection cues. If one has more deflection than the other, it's by a minimal amount.

It's the hit (feel) that is different.

Have you ever tried searching for "OB"? If not, give it a go and see what happens.

Does the ob classic play low deflection like the ob1? Thanks,

They not only play low deflection like the ob1 they also know Freebird and a bit of ZZ Top.

There are actually about 4 posts just with this question in the last week, in fact at least one is in the first few pages :)

And I think the info is listed on OBs web site. http://www.obcues.com/categories/OB-Plus-Shafts/ although they say Low or Ultra Low deflection without really any specifics.

I'm the person who started the other thread on this topic the other day. I received a lot of very helpful comments and I urge you to take a look at the discussion there.

As someone else has said, OB Cues' website describes them both as low deflection. The consensus I've received is that the OB-1+ has deflection comparable to Predator's popular 314-2. That is probably the least amount of deflection possible in a shaft with a 12.75mm diameter tip. (The narrower diameters, such as the OB-2 and z-2 which are 11.75mm deflect less, partly because they have less mass near the tip). The OB-Classic+ probably deflects a tiny bit more than the OB-1+, because the construction is slightly different, but most people who were kind enough to comment on the thread I started point out that the difference in deflection between these two OB+ shafts is minimal. Someone at OB Cues told me today that "most people" would not notice the difference in deflection between these two shafts.

I didn't see much difference in deflection from OB1 and Classic just feel and hit was more feed back from classic

Have *you* ever tried searching for "OB"? Maybe you should give it a try and see what happens.

Hint: it does not give you any info on OB ;-)

Classic+ has more feedback than Ted Nugent's Gibson Birdland hooked-up to a stack of Marshall amps.

I wasn't impressed with the classic. My standard maple shaft I use has less deflection than the classic does.

I have to agree, not impressive at all, noticeably more deflection than OB1.
I'm not sure what's the classic's advantage over a good regular shaft, some are similar in deflection to it.
