"Best OB shaft ever", why would a maker say something like that? lol
Didn't expect this with the release of 2 keilwood shafts this year but they secretly did it I guess.

thanks for the reply, my custom is 0.840 at the joint and is also 3/8x10 so thats a relief I guess if what you say is accurate. They make both .840 and .850, depending on the joint type. Here's what OB says..
Available in 2 joint diameters .840in fits most standard 3/8 x 10 Thread cues - .850in fits most standard Mcdermott cue joint diameters
btw the torrified pheonix shaft is really good you have got to give that a try for yourself to attest to it, I come from mezz hybrid pro II and I really like it, stiff and nice hitting, I tried it on someone's cue and now i am ordering one for me.I own six OB CLASSIC shafts for three cues. I am disappointed the company has spun in so many different directions. OB educated the public on multiple piece shaft technology (only to go back to one piece wood and epoxy filled shafts?) Then there is the LD internal package (from the new vague shaft description it's hard to tell what OB is offering??). Then the switch to TORRIFIED (WHAT TECHNOLOGIES ARE IN THAT SHAFT? (LD or what?). If I am reading correctly OB has kept their hybrid taper (which I like). But what product are they selling today?
So then there is the OB carbon shaft (why would someone try this shaft (over a known stable brand.) Normally when a product is engineered well only small changes are made to improve the existing line (that's true with pool shafts, cars, boats, guns... You name it.
I am rooting for OB an American company, but I will no longer invest until OB becomes a proven commodity again. My two cents
What LD package is in the shaft? Ferule technology, hollow shaft dampening ect. OB explained the older product s better.btw the torrified pheonix shaft is really good you have got to give that a try for yourself to attest to it, I come from mezz hybrid pro II and I really like it, stiff and nice hitting, I tried it on someone's cue and now i am ordering one for me.
I usually don't get into details in engineering technology cause I am the user, I might ask about sizes of the outside that I care of, but the inner stuff is something for the engineers to think about, then I as a user if I like the hit and how it feels and if it deflects lower than usual then I am a happy user, that's it.What LD package is in the shaft?
