Just Curious what the OB users out there like best!

Thanks in advance AZ for putting up with ANOTHER dead horse on the main page.

I'm sure this may have been done already, so feel free to post the Thread link for me as a response. I wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for.

Please consider I'm only looking to compare the OB shafts against each other.

Thanks!

FYI, there's the "OB Classic Pro." I don't believe there's an "OB Pro." But since I use an OB Classic Pro, I interpreted this to be what you meant. Right?

EDIT: just looked at the OB website, and it looks like there was a recent name change. The product used to be called "OB Classic Pro" but is now called "OB Pro." Odd. I wonder why they did that?

I have used both the OB-1 and the OB Classic Pro. The OB-1 has a much softer hit with the correct tip. It almost feels spongey but I liked it. It is not what most people are looking for but in some ways it provides more tactile feedback on soft shots.

The OB Classic Pro has a much more traditional hit to it and has the same small/no deflection characteristics.

The only thing I don't like about the Pro is the shaft diameter. My next shaft will likely be the OB Classic or the OB-2 or a predator shaft.

No matter what you choose I highly recommend OB as they are good people and I feel that it is a huge upgrade over pretty much any stock shaft on any production cue.

I have owned an ob-1, ob classic and now have the ob pro. I like the ob pro best and I have only played with it a few times now.

The OB-3 is coming out!

Special Announcement:
We have been getting a lot of calls and emails today about rumors regarding a new OB Shaft. The official press release on the new shaft is not coming out until later today but we figured we would give fans of OB on facebook a sneak peek of the details.

The New shaft will be called the OB-3, it will have an MSRP of $400 and has a gyro built into the shaft that will automatically fix any errors in your stroke and guarantee that your cue will always follow through perfectly straight. This shaft quite simply will instantly improve your game to the point where if you aim correctly then you will probably never miss again. Stay tuned for more details later today.

I guess you'll have to do another poll next month. ;)

I think they meant to post that yesterday...

Used an OB1 a little, and a lot more time with the OB2. I liked the OB2 a hair more but it's hard to put into words why. It may even just be in my head. They didn't feel massively different from each other. Still using the OB2.

really? interesting

I used an OB Classic but I sold it and have gotten away from LD shafts at this time.

Ob

As the owner of a few OB shafts they sent me a "heads-up" E-mail. I won't spoil anything concerning details, So I'll let everyone go see themselves.

OB is indeed introducing 2 new shafts very shortly. Guess this means they will have 6 shafts in the LD hunt. (hope they send me a free one now! )

Hmmmmm, they told me it was ghost-felt radar technology... :grin-square::grin-square::p

Direct from OB:

'Okay, okay, you got us April Fools Day of Course. There is no OB-3 shaft being released...yet (especially not with a built in Gyro) but you never know what is on the horizon! Hope you all had a fun filled April Fools Day!'

Ob3?

now why wouldnt you have named it the "OB-GY-N" for gyro no- deflection!

I have the OB Classic and like it. I picked it over their other models because:
1) I wanted a 12.75mm tip as opposed to the 11.75mm, because a larger tip theoretically produces less inadvertent spin on the CB.
2) The OB Classic has the "firm, crisp hit", which, in my testing, I liked better then their shafts that have a "soft, quiet hit".
3) I like the look of the short, white, ferrule better then the no-ferrule look.

I've met them several times and they are great guys. I recommend them.

I had a classic pro built at 12.25mm,if 11.75 is too skinny

thank you AZ!

A big thank you, too you all for the feedback so far!
I will put it to good use!
