OB121 sneaky vs predator sneaky?

Let your wallet be the guide. A Pred or OB shaft on a quality butt works very well and is less expensive.
I prefer Predator cues. The weights can be easily changed. I like Uni-Loc joints. But a cue is a personal thing. Experiment until you find your favorite player. And have fun in the process.

Can u adjust the weight in the ob?

I have a Rick Howard, A Mordt BCM and a Dale Perry. That being said I just ordered a OB121 sneaky with the classic shaft. If I really like it I will probably sell the Rick Howard and Dale Perry while keeping the BCM since it also has the 3/8 10 pin. I have just grown to hate linen wraps, if I keep the BCM it will get a stack leather wrap.

Prodigy I have not read all of the posts in your thread but I just bought a OB classic two weeks ago and before that I played with a 314 for maybe 8 to 10 years.

Yes it takes awhile to not only get used a LD shafts but to even notice a difference.
The best way I can describe it for me is 56K
In other words I had internet connection that was 56K and yes it was slow but it was all I knew so it was great. Then one year we had a chance to up-grade to DSL and it was better.

Then after I got used to it DSL we lost it for a weekend and I went back to 56K until our fast system was fixed.....OMG 56K was so bad I could not even use it.
That's how it is for me to go back to regular shafts. A few play alright but compared to my Predator or now my OB pro I can see the difference.

I don't want to get bombed by those who don't believe in the LD hype, for them it may just be hype but for me it works. Getting back to your question> I am thrilled with the Classic...cutest little ferrule you ever saw.

Yea that's why I'm getting rid of my custom cuz I don't want the wrap anymore

Haha yea I'm ready for mine after that!

I ordered mine from Pooldawg, they shipped it so fast it was here before I even ordered it. I turned my collar down .015 and wala a perfect match for my Sly sneaky. I will say that compared to a conventional white Maple shaft the OB is sorta ugly in a cool way. you can easily see the sections of wood where you really had to look on the 314's to see the glue lines.
Having said that the OB plays well......I suck but the shaft is the nutz.

I am a fan of Pooldawg also. I have a shipment arriving tomorrow from them. I am also impatient and will have my OB 21 tomorrow with free shipping from cheapcues.com since they are only about 120 miles away.

After shooting with my break cue witch has very stiff hit and hard tip can't wait ffor my ob will the hit be alike but better? I could really feel the hit have a feeling my games gonna inprove

Just hope the hits like my really stiff break shaft but better crisp feel sound and hit? But with ld

Have u had either?

I tried both and others from players at pool halls. Truthfully the CB squirt still there and more than what i want. I am sticking with my 30 years old cue that i modified the shaft to 11.75 mm about 10 years ago and now 11.5 mm, minimal squirt for almost 99% of shots, when i have to go to the extreme CB edge i allow about half a ball to a ball width in aim if i cannot have long bridge. I have to admit, i am being extra careful for elevation and swerve.

LD Cues (High CB squirt) is good for stun with english shots only, and HD cues (Low CB squirt) are good for running / rolling english shots where there is no EIT. For one pocket game, we tend to shoot soft so stun shots are less frequent than say 9 or 10 ball game.

I advise you buy a drink for your friends at the pool hall to shoot few shots with their cue, that way you will know which cue you like the most.

At the end, there is no zero squirt cue, unless you shoot with 8 mm tip..

What about feel sound ect with the ob? Be close too what I've said

I bought a new OB Shaft when they first came out...really liked it. Rolled perfectly straight. I'd roll it on my table and it just kept rolling and didn't want to stop.

Played real nice. Easy to pocket balls, easy to move the cue ball around. Felt good for about a week, then I started missing balls and didn't like it anymore. Guess I just couldn't get used to the color of the ferrule and the lines (wood grain) going down the shaft. Just looks dirty all the time.

I prefer a Tiger-X Ultra shaft.

I've tried almost all shafts but always go back to my 30 year old Meucci shaft.

I like a Predator shaft for breaking only.

When you play pool for 30 years all you need is to make the ball, mainly know the cue. I do not care about feel, color, sound...etc playability what counts
