An alright movie... I love Jack Nicholson's letters to Ndugu.

I didn't ask your opinion on the quality of the movie, I was merely stating mine....

I'm an applications programmer for Naval Electronic Surveilance Systems. My area of expertise is maintaining and developing code for Training aboard the Aegis ships. The ship's programs and sensors go into sim mode and the personnel aboard can practice firing sim missiles at real and sim targets.

This area was developed just after that incident with that Irani Airbus and the USS Vincennes.

Barbara

Wow that is cool! When I was active in the Navy as an "OS" working in the CIC (combat information center) we didnt have a sim mode. I went into the reserves and spent two weeks on the USS Normandy in Staten Island, NY. They were talking about this sim mode but I never got to see it. Now I sit here reading about a fellow pool player who does the work on the other side of the board. Do you live in the Norfolk area? Damneck?

Moorestown, NJ. I work for Computer Sciences Corporation and we're subcontracted by Lockheed Martin.

The USS Rancocas is where I met my husband. It's a ship mockup literally in the middle of a cornfield. It supports several baselines of Aegis. It's one of the places where we can play with live Spy radar.

I work as a buyer for a small cell phone provider and accessory company (31 locations). I buy the accessories and am also in charge of merchandising and inventory control for 3 locations.

I'm a meteorologist and I work for the National Weather Service. When I'm not doing that 40+ hours a week, I design and maintain pool-related websites. Besides playing pool, I am also one of the board members/tournament directors for the Hunter Classics Amateur Women's Tour. Gosh, no wonder I'm so tired. :)

Wish I was retired already,

I don't wish you were retired. I wish you'd move here to Atlanta and take over the meteorologist page in the Atlanta newspaper. This dumb son of a b*tch hasn't gotten a damn thing right in 8 years and the picture that he posts of the local weather has rain damn near everday on it. Nothing changes...it's the same crap. If you listened to him everyday...you might never leave the house for activities or you'd always be wearing the wrong clothes based on temperature or rain/sun!

Trust me...playing is MUCH better.

Ha! I thought for sure that you manufacture golf equipment--based on your screen name. I thought that you must have been torn between Drivermaker and Puttermaker...LOL.

I have a Chemistry degree and now work as an Internal Auditor for a Pharmaceutical company.

Yeah, I thought, computers won't go into the mass market...they're too hard to program, when I should have been thinking, Windows.  :(
