Well this will be more like a vacation than a tournament. My best 2 players aren't going. We'll give um hell with 2-5s, 2-4s & 2-3s. Stayin' at the Sahara, but I'll be spendin' my money, ALL OVER TOWN...JER

Good luck Jer but how is a good custom cue maker like yourself able to stay a five or under ? Just busting your balls as long as your not a three I think its OK, I've played in APA for 12 to 15 years and don't think any man should be a three period. Have a lots of fun and try the nickel slots about three or four am a few mornings with a twenty dollar bill, and you might find out the secret my wife found.

People who build race cars don't all know how to drive 'em. I was a 6 for a long time, but I have cataracts now,(one eye worse than the other). In fact I think I've played my last game of pool, in leagues. It's just not fun, when you can't see the balls. I'm also givin' up nude skydiving. It scares the hell out of little kids, to see a 66 year old man's body. HA HA...JER

Assuming that you didn't give the other two a share of the travel fund, you should have a few extra bucks for the craps table. ;) At least you don't have to worry about going over the 23 cap . . . Two years ago (in 9-ball) my 7 won his first match of the tourney, went up to an 8, and couldn't play the rest of the time.

Good luck, and enjoy the trip.

My wife & I both won a little cash from the slots. About $1100 of the Casino's cash, came back with us...JER

I love craps! I go about twice a year and play. I also stay at the sahara. I never intended to keep going there but they comp me suites and limmo's and they are on the monorail so why not. I went there several years ago with a few buddies for a weekend and the pitboss took my id at the table and came back with a players card. I told her I did not need it but she said you are giving up alot in comps so I said ok. I got $150 in comp credit just from my play up to that point. In the end I paied for the rooms and meals with comps and left vegas with $850 more than I left home with. A month later I started getting their mailers with all the free room offers. I have been back several times and have never had to spend any money for rooms, food, ect...
I am not a highroller by any strech. I only post this because they have given me so much more in comps than all the other newer resorts combined did. Chris.

Sorry Chris, I can't share your enthusiasum for the Sahara Hotel. It's a 55 year old hotel & shows it. Some of the public restrooms had doors missing from the stalls & in general were not kept up. The room carpets were stained & dirty. The TV has limited chanels. Our TV had to be repaired twice & the remote had tape holding it together. The food at the buffet was the worst that we had (we ate at 5 others). The checkin is terrible. There were even a lot of slots that were broken & out of service. Sorry, but I would never go there again. It's back to the Flamingo for us...JER

It is an old place for sure. When I go to vegas all I do is play craps and some poker with a few meals inbetween. I have no interest in shows or clubs ect...
It sounds like the place is getting worse though. But, like I say free suites and comp credit and the place is on the monorail so you can go where ever for dinner or gambling. I just use it for a free room and that is pretty much it. Chris.
