Boyes with the luck in of the one ball in the upper left corner on the break. Nikos straight in on the 2 in the side but plays it in up in the corner. Over strokes and is on the wrong side of the 3. 4 and 5 on the bottom rail with cue ball to go up table on this shot.

Schmidt with the one in the side. Hall plays safe on the 2 ball but lets the object ball leak out. Boyes cuts it in the side, top rail with cue ball down to break out the 5-9 on the spot. Off angle on the 3 for Niko. He is trying to figure out a way to dog it but finally figures he will just go ahead and make it.
Leaves a tough cut on the 5 for Boyes. He fires and misses again. He didn't put enough stroke on it to get good shape on the 6 anyways.
Schmidt with the safetly on the 5 and carelessly makes the 6, hooking his partner. Hall with another good kick but left Europe a shot.

This time Niko figured out a way to dog it and missed an easy 5 in the side.
Schmidt takes 7 practice strokes this time but still leaves Hall a bit out of line.

Here is my thought… the pressure of this situation/crowd must be ridiculous….
In the future to prepare for the MC we need to find a way to create a similar environment in practice.. Maybe set up some exhibitions in a similar context/setting… anything to give our players a chance to really experience a little bit of what it is like when you end up in the real situation.

Unreal, Schmidt is playing just about as bad as anyone can okay and the terrible part is USA should be up by at LEAST 3-2. Honestly USA should be up 4-1 or have won already 5-0. Awful awful play. Thank god schmidt is only playing once today. On a positive note, Nikos has once again shown he is the weakest of the Euros. And good for us, he is up next against hall who has been one of our best.
