You had a very good potiental deal going with me. Time and place set up and you didn't show. You didn't see me on here bitching did ya? I made a decent deal anyway. Man, you shouldn't sweat the little sh!t. There are a-holes everywhere you go. There are also dishonest people who wish to steal your dough everywhere. I have sold over 30 cues here on this site. I give a guarentee with my deals. I even had one guy on here who got into an automobile accident and needed his money back because he needed his cash to stay out of trouble. I sent it back to him. So, don't think everybody is a bad guy on here. My experience has been the opposite.

Wow! Only here less than a month! There is still plenty of time for you to start hating the rest of us because, let me tell you man, these forums are filled with people that will jerk you around and waste your time! But you have to expect that when you are dealing with any online forum. The beauty of the internet is that it links people together who are normally separated by distance and anonymity. When the only connection to you is a pseudonym, its easy to act a certain way so just wait! A hell of a lot of these guys will screw you over or try to. Not that AZ is a terrible place! Its not. But its an online forum so, you have to learn to live with that fact.
If you don't, you shouldn't be here posting. Hell! Not everyone on this forum is a scammer or a crook and not everyone you mentioned is a saint either. I've had a person or two on this forum waste my time and I've had others that were a pleasure to deal with. Bad experiences? Take them with a grain of salt and just accept them.

Hmm, that's why I don't like dealing with new people here.
Specially when they don't even have a name.

First off I feel sorry that you had a BAD EXPERIENCE, or EXPERIENCES, but you are judging an entire Group by a could of APPARENT SCUM BAGS.

I call this the UMBRELLA THEORY, as you are judging all by the action of a few.

That is not fair to the good People on this Forum IMO.
:(

Generalizations are bad

Generalizations are bad!!!
No matter where you go, sometimes even your "friend" is your worst enemy.

Unfortunately, the pool world, to include those who buy/sell/trade in pool cues, has plenty of sheisters in it. To play within this world it certainly helps to openly recognize this up front. Thankfully, with the information sharing abilities we have today, the sheisters are becoming fewer and more far between, and most importantly, known among the community. But the problem will never go away as there are and always will be a few out there who will compromise their integrity with the gullible in order to make a few dollars. However, on the positive side, there are plenty of honest, forthright folks out there as well. So it isn't all quite doom and gloom.

Due to the wide array of members, this website has about 90% of everything you'll ever need to know about pool, I suggest you stay even if it is to just lurk around. If you do post, especially to sell cues, you definitely need to be prepared to take a beating from those here who mistakenly think they own the place. I would compare it to going out on the playground as kids, and of course some here are more mature than others. At most, I recommend you take a break for a while, recognize your experiences for what they are, learn from it, and jump back in when you feel up to it.

I got scamed out of 2new cues I owned on here this AZ valued At over $2,200. I was super pissed of the guy no who he is and i never forget some one who screwed me but I have brushed it off was very hard and i no ya always run into people like that. Here on AZB you are not just dealing with other poolplayers, but collectors and gamblers. Some having very sharp negotiating skills. And like the rest of the world, there are a few theives. Is a good negotiator a theif? Not in my opinion. I just know when I am buying or selling, I have to be on top of my game and know what I am gettin myself into. I have been offered pennies for cues I had for sale, worth alot more. In the same aspect, I have done the same to other sellers. So I cant get mad when someone tries to low ball me. How else would you find that great buy AKA steal. I have been burned on deals and I have stolen cues. And I try to learn from every deal I engage in.

Why get mad at a whole group if one tries to get a good deal on a cue?

WOW... You found a thief... I understand why you are upset and would want to kill someone... I know I would want tack this person down and hurt him if I were in you situation... I know you dont want to hear this, but this is a leason to learn from... This is why there are escrow and third party inspection services... Proficient Billiards has this service: http://www.proficientbilliards.com/services/escrowservice.htm
Sorry to hear all that happened to you... Just dont give up on everyone hear at AZB... There are more good people here then theives... If you remember who he is, point him out to the rest of us, so we know not to deal with him...

C'mon lets grow a little

I was making a deal with "Hunter" (Screen Name) it was my first post on here. He didnt know me from a bum, but he took the chance and sent me a $1000 cue in two days to my front door for me to inspect. The deal didnt pan out and I promptly repacked the cue and sent it back to him in two days time. Im sure I will purchas cues from "Hunter" in the future, hes a real stand up guy. The moral of this story is, most of us are honest."Crooks are everywhere" gather all info you can before dealing with anyone, generally you can tell a crook by them wanting to withhold info such as address, full name, etc. Im sure you have been around long enough to have heard "Dont let one bad apple ruin the bunch".
