OK, I don't know if it is just me...

:o I'm trying to fit in better and not be such a irritating newbie. Blue chalk today, I'm pretty nervous about it, but gotta start somewhere, so I decide to start soon and give myself time to adjust and loosen up my anal retention for chalk color :D

Thanks for the compliment, I like to think of myself as an ok guy, but I feel bad for ranting on my friend and saying stupid shit, but at least he likes the bottle of Macallans I got him

Aeoliner,
I don't really want to play my friend for money, like many said, I should just keep it light and have fun with my friends and not take it so serious with them. But no matter what, thanks for the advice.

Hapy shooting all! :)

Kool. Then play for a coke or whatever you drink or maybe play for table tiome. That way you both have a reason to try harder and keep it light.

I got the blue on me!!! (Joe Dirt impression) haha. It wasn't that bad actually. Thanks for the emotionaly support you all have shown me, it is much appreciated you all. You made the "transformation" process with ease LMAO

Happy Shooting! :)

I do consider him a friend, I don't know if you guys read some of my responses. I apologized to him already for over reacting and cursing at him. I am taking him out this weekend for dinner and get him a fifth of Macallan 15 as an apology.

Well, at least you manned up an apologized to him. No matter what happens, and this may sound mushy but I don't give flying FK, friends are important. You did the right thing by apologizing to him.

As for shooting with someone's cue being a no-no, it all depends on that person. Personally, I don't care if my friends use my cues. I've been in tournaments before where the guy I was playing stood up and grabbed my cue by accident, neither of us noticed at the time, and after he'd finish the rack he realized something was different, pointed it out to me, apologized for using my cue and then complimented me on how well it played and asked if he could use it the rest of the match (jokingly of course). At times like that, I don't lose an ounce of sleep over it. Some douchebag though, if I noticed him picking it up I'd point it out to him.

For someone purposely picking it up, it would depend on who that person was. A friend, no problem. A stranger, I'd say something, but I wouldn't be offensive.

I don't want yours

and leave mine the FK alone....

that could be just me tho....

ChinO, this is your direct quote: "Anyhow, we were playing 8 ball on a 10 footer, and I won the last two games."

Maybe what got you upset was all the other games this non-playing, non pool respecting fellow won prior to you winning the last two games.

I think me going off on him was wrong and I felt the need to apologize to him. Some might not like the idea of an apology but if I am wrong, than I don't care if I look like an idiot, but I will apologize and admit that I am wrong. Thanks for the tip, I shouldn't over react to really anything, I know everyone has their pet peeves but I better learn to control myself. As for the match, wow, that's pretty cool he shot with your cue and no one noticed haha.

That's how I am, I just don't really like people touching my stuff, but I over reacted to a friend touching it and I should've just told him calmly rather than going off on him like that.

Sure is my direct quote, where'd you find it? haha jk :D I'm not the type of guy who gets furious for losing games, I rather look back and see what I did wrong and try to better from it. I miss a shot, I might get a bit upset because it was an easy shot (I am a newbie by the bay) but I'd just analyze, what did I do to miss the shot, rather than just trying to crack a cue over my knee. I'm always smiling whenever I am shooting with my friends, he sometimes think I am laughing at him for missing a shot and get's mad, but it's just that I like to smile when I am having a good time.

As for the games, we were playing on a Brunswick GC before we moved to the 10 footer. We played a total of 5 games before it, I won the first two games, he won the third game when we were both hitting the 8-ball back and forth and I scratched when I made the 8-ball :o (It was a close game so it made it really fun). After the third game, the 10 footer opened up and we moved to the 10 footer, that's when I won the two last two games before all the nonsense I did happened.

Just wanted to clear it up for you, that way you don't have to CSI Miami the thread lol

Happy shooting! :)

Where in KC?

Where is this 10 footer located? Does it have pool balls or snooker balls?
How are the pockets cut?

The 10 footer is at Raytown Rec. They call it Big Bertha, it is a Brunswick Paragon. It has a ball return on it with a regular set of pool balls, last night when my dad, my brother (he bought his first cue, a Viking G01, 12mm shaft, 12mm tip, 19oz. so he wanted to test out his new cue) and I went up there, two Indian guys were up there to play snooker and I never knew this until last night, Dough kept a set of Snooker balls behind the desk. So it is an option to either play either snooker or pool on the table. As far as the pockets, it seems like they are pretty tight pockets, I never measured them, but it coul be the table's size that make it seems the pockets are small. They also have a Verhoeven Three Cushion table.

Glad to see that you are laughing!! Don't sweat the small stuff. The game is hard enough as it is. Focus on the important things, and do not get distracted by all the junk.

I think there are a lot of chalk racists on here!:D All this talk about color and which is better. Can't we all just get along?

I want to learn it, Doug just doesn't have time lately, my dad finally shot a few games with me last night (Ol' Skoo snooker player) and kick the living hell outta me. It was fun seeing him bank shots and etc. He let me shot a game with his Schon, it was really nice. When my brother went to go buy his cue, the owner had a predator demo sitting there he let me test it out. 1st gen 314 shaft, Oh My God, that thing hit so solid, it was unbelievable!

Happy Shooting! :)
