I just cannot even wrap my brain around this type of behavior!
I sell cues so infrequently, that I have never run into this type of problem. I do offer those who wish to purchase, a 'trial period' of a few days. Either they like the cue at the price paid, or they do not, (has never happened). I feel that I have priced out my past cues fairly, and have been very fortunate to receive very nice replies that the cues are 'better then described'.
I have very little patience for those who would want to 'dicker' once the cue was received. Either you like it at the price paid, or you don't...send the bloody thing back! As far as I am concerned, the deal is done once both parties agree upon a set price.
Here comes the 'car analogy' again.....you don't go into a car deal, agreeing to a negotiated price, then a few days later, go back to the seller and try to re-negotiate the price!! Why would you do that with a cue....or anything else, for that matter?!
I guess I would have to say that a negative would be appropriate in both cases...trying to re-negotiate is a deal-breaker in my book!
Now, if the cue was mis-represented...it's a whole different ball game, and all bets are off. Sadly, you're always gonna run into someone who will try their level best to just get over on you....and to be quite honest, if I did run into such an individual, I'd rather the deal be called off, because they're never gonna be happy, and life is just too short, IMHO.
Lisa -------------> Who actually kinda 'screens' prospective buyers to see if they're worthy of owning what I might have to sell.........would NEVER make it as a dealer of cues, or anything else for that matter....lol.
