okay I am worried now ... shipping issues

Sounds like you should get it. If it were me I would be happy that it is a question of when rather than a question of if.

I just spent some time in Hanoi and was able to make it to a pool hall. Ever been to CARMEN Club? Those pockets were brutal!

wow, Carmen is my favorite place to play, I was a regular there when I played considerably much more than I do now. you can notice the banner behind you, that is the weekly Handicap tournament sponsored by Mezz.

there are a few tables there with tight middle pockets for those who want to gamble and win bonus for every ball falls to the middle pockets, the tables for rotation pool are in the area of the Handicap banner, but the pockets are still tight, about 4.15" I guess, that pocket size is popular in Hanoi now.

I didn't measure the pocket size on the table I played on but I did take a picture. These pockets are a lot tighter than the normal I see here in the US

Yeah FedEx is great:rolleyes:. I buy stuff from ebay all the time, never lost a USPS package. Then I bought some cues of a firm that required FedEx to be used. Long story short, they lost the package, then lied about having delivered it. Their tracking system was REALLY helpful:mad:. I have also had problems with UPS. People in the US think that since FedEx and UPS is great in their country, it's also best overseas, which is not always the case. And they are almost twice as expensive as well.

After a shipment I sent to USPS Brazil just vanished into thin air, I switched to FedEx for more accurate tracking and never had another problem, I guess it’s hit and miss with all of them, I stopped shipping out of the CONUS all together a while ago, it was just too much hassle.:grin-square:

Brazil has some issues, I wouldn't recommend sending packages to that country.
On a side note, most people use the USPS for Intl. shipping due to the high cost of Fedex and UPS. I have no problems with the service of Fedex, UPS is another story.

Shipping overseas

I would not use USPS for anything other than mailing a letter in the US.

USPS may be a little cheaper than UPS or FEDEX but you know the old saying.....you get what you pay for.

:sorry:

I will not ship anything to South America.

:shakehead:

Yep, that's what we normally shoot here in VN

So I think the option of which shipping service to use also depends majorly on how that service operates in the destination country also, but USPS/EMS works consistently fine in my country. my situation here is largely due to the Haiyan typhoon and there's nothing FEDEX or DHL can do otherwise.

I just received an update that the package has arrived in Vietnam and is being processed by the customs. if it goes smoothly I will receive it in a couple of days.

but that is weird, the sender said he contacted his post office and they said the package was being returned to sender. but it was forwarded to Vietnam instead, after being scanned through at USPS New York.

here goes the transit rout:

excellent, at least it is not lost and it is moving again.

Thanks, it's a relief, but I am still a bit worried about the condition of the package after such long transit. Anw, I will learn that soon, hopefully it will be perfect.
