Midwest City

Midwest City is a suburb of Oklahoma City. It is just east of OKc, my pool room is about 4 miles east of I-35 and about 3 blocks north of I-40
 
Rules ?

1)Will you be playing with Texas express (jump modified) rules ?
2)If a player finishes 7-8 then no calcutta money ?
 
Tournament will be Texas Express Rules. NOjump cues will be allowed. Players may use a break cue to break but finish the rest of the game with their playing cue. If they want to jump a ball with a full pole they are welcome as long as it it their playing cue. As far as the calcutta, only the top six places will pay. I don't want to spread the money too thin by paying too deep into the field. My philosephy is if you win it, you win something!!!

So can you change the shaft on your playing cue to jump?

Good question about changing shafts. I think I'll just play with my jump cue in case I want to jump:p
I may need an extension to make it concealed ?
 
No you may not change shafts for a jump shot. If you need to change shafts because your tip is loose or worn out or the tip comes off, you may change shafts. You can not change just for a jump shot. I am not a big fan of bringing a golf bag to a pool game.

Low deflection shaft are worthless for jumping. It seems that this rule gives an unfair advantage to players that play with stiff shafts.

I'll be passing on this event.:(

shot 1 spot shot with cue ball frozen to center diamond on head rail
shot 2 cue ball frozen to center diamond on head rail object ball frozen to side rail on the second diamond from the head rail
shot 3 cue ball frozen to side rail on second diamond object ball frozen to same side rail on the second diamond on other end
shot 4 cue ball on head spot object ball frozen to foot rail at center diamond (cut ball into either corner)
shot 5 object ball in center of table cue ball in jaws of corner pocket with a third ball frozen to the back side of the cue ball. (cross corner shot jacked up)

I believe there is a big tournament in Wichita the following weekend and Tulsa the week after that. Players could make one big trip through the area and catch all 3.
 
Quick question... are the 5 difficulty shots going to be on a bar table or some other sized table?
 
The 5 difficult shots will be on a 9 foot gold crown. The tournament will be on valley bar tables using the valley cue ball with the green aramith emblem.
