I was looking for something else (how Dallas West could average 158.3 points per game in the 1975 US Open) and found this. I don't remember a tournament in Niagara Falls, but there it is. For extra credit, who won?

I don't know how Dallas averaged >150 in the 1975 tournament but I did find that a Robert Jewett competed in that tournament.

As for Niagara Falls, Mike Sigel won and Jim Rempe was second. Both ran 150 in the tournament, Sigel doing it twice.

They had already moved to 200-point finals. In the previous year Balsis beat Rempe 200-199 in the finals.

Dallas was my first match and he found a dead ball from my opening break.

Proof that the break can be a disadvantage! Probably a solid learning moment, though.

My 2nd favorite time in straight pool is my opponent running a huge pack and out on me.
