Old Billiard Photograph

Erwin Rudolph on the left and Ralph Greenleaf on the right. Not sure about the guy in the middle. Looks like a young Irving Crane but I'm not sure. Although the more I think about it, it is possible. He was only about 12-15 years younger than Greenleaf.

Dont be so humble.....I have seen you in many of the turn of the centuary photo's------------not turn of the millenium :p;)

I just bought this framed photograph of an old pool hall scene.
Just curious if anyone has seen the image before and knows where/when it was taken.

I have this photo and I believe it was on here that the location or possible locations were picked.
I have it marked as California..San Fran or somewhere near there.

Storer also wrote a billiards book.

if you don't know who greenleaf was then how can we expect that the raffle you speak of in your sig is not for a walmart balabushka imitation !

Sorry, my comment was about the OP's picture.. I didn't realize the one that was pointed out at New Deco was different.

o i c that explains it ! you are forgiven then, after all we are all human beans. yup that other picture makes a huge difference in you statement.

I have this same photo ...I don't know who the guys are but enjoy photos from the 1800's..... I have purchased several pics from www.newdeco.com then click on BILLIARD PHOTOS......

The photo isn't from the South. It never gets so cold that you would keep your coat on while playing pool.

From the way they are holding the cues, I think it's Larry, Moe and Curly... I would be shocked if these guys were players.

That's a turkey on the left fo' shizzle.

Jay's just getting old. Everyone misses now and then.

Here is a photo I bought at an estate auction several years ago.

Very Nice!
Interesting how every single guy in the room is wearing a hat and coat to play.
And it looks like the two kids on the right are ready to take on all comers - some things never change!
