Does anyone know anything about this old cue ball? Who made it, what it's made of, or value? It looked pretty cool so I bought it. It almost looks like it's been painted or something.

The more I look at this thing, the more I think it's an 11 Ball that's been painted and previously glued to something. However, where the paint is chipped on top shows off white where it should be red. Hmmmm...

Well, it is worth at least what you paid for it . . .to you:grin:

pretty strange looking for sure!!

I'l be watching this thread to find out "the rest of the story"

There was a thread a while back that was about cue balls being made from regular pool balls that had a casing wrapped around them. Now and then one would break open and the "inside ball" was revealed.

This looks to me to be a little different then the pics from that earlier post. If I can I will see if I can find the old thread.

Wow! That's crazy. Could be for sure although the coating doesn't look quite as thick. It could just be painted instead of coated. I have $5.50 in it so not too worried.

This ball is about 2/3 the size of a normal cue ball. Anyone have any ideas?
I would get a stand for it {like the ones they use for purty rocks} and put a caption with it {Cueball used by Willie Masconi to run 536 balls}.
Also put a price tag on it for $10,000.00
It's a nice conversation piece for 5 bucks!

Could be that. But I think they are red with a white circle or white with a red circle. They are the right size I think?
