Old Dynamo table

Guys, I am going to look at an old Dynamo table this evening to buy. Over the phone the guy said that a couple of the pocket inserts were missing. He also said on one of the pockets the bottom of it is kind of swollen and the balls hang up. He only wants $100.00 for the table. And it will primarily be for the kids to shoot on instead of my Kim Steele. My question is, off hand about how much will it take to fix these problems that I mentioned. If the rails are in decent shape I would think the table would be worth it.

Inserts?
Pockets on a bar box have gully boots in the bottom and pocket liners around the top. These both come in sets of 6.
If these are what you mean you're looking at around $20 plus shipping for both sets.

Both parts are rather easy to install. For the gully boots you'd do good to lift the slate up out of the table for easier access,
This is also a good time to clean out the inside of the box and the ball return channels.

Thanks, Where is a good place to order these from?

Replacement pocket liners and gully boots are pretty much generic for most bar boxes.

Yes, Valley and Dynamo use the same gully boots. The problem with balls getting stuck in the corner pockets if the gully boots are not cracked is more than likely from glue build up under the slate at the pocket opening...you'll have to scrap off all the old glue to make room for the balls to pass under the slate at the corner pockets. You'll also have to shimm up the rails to stop the balls from hopping off the rails...all Dynamo tables suffer from low cushions. I posted a thread a while back about how to correct this problem on Dynamo tables.

Dynamo

I think that is a really good deal. A buddy of mine just bought a Dynamo at an auction and paid $120. He is also going to put all new pocket liners on it and one of the legs is bad. Anything under $500 for a Valley/Dynamo table is a good deal. I sold an old Irvine Kaye bar table for $300 in the matter of about a 1/2 hour. Buy it up!

I bought it, but for some reason the balls hang up in all the corner pockets. I'm gonna take the table apart to see if there are obstructions. It seems like the wooden braces that cross over the gullys are catching the balls. Any body ever had something like this happen?
