Picked up this old Joss in trade
Does anyone know the model, age, value

Completely straight, could use a refinish, 2-original shafts
Even came with Joss gold letter j/p's

Thanks for the link
I just picked up a block letter as well

Big help there Doc

Thanks

Other than that little nick on the butt, it looks really good to me i don't see a need to refinish it looks great from the pics.

In addition to a few nicks, you can kind of feel the little ivory J inlay's in the butt sleeve.
What do you think?

Do you use to shoot ? If so does it bother you while you play ?

Finishes all shrink. Even the best. You will normally feel inlays, rings, etc as a cue ages IMHO.

I cannot really say without having the cue in my hands but my general impression is that this is not a candidate for a refinish.

It is certainly a very nice example of that era of Joss I think. Obviously a pristine example might be more collectible, but these are great cues and it has solid value IMHO.
