I am starting this thread with a few pictures I found. Feel free to ad to it if you have anything interesting. I will be adding to it over time with more stuff as I came across it. I am doing some cleaning. I will just start with a few today one picture per post with as much description as I can remember. Some pictures will be better then others as time takes a it's toll on old pictures

In this picture is standing by the wall Danny DiLiberto
The guy at the table with the cueball in his hand is Bill Stigall
All the way to the left is Richie Ambrose.
Sitting in the front by the corner of the table is a player named Tom Spencer. This is around 1975

This picture is the same day. It is Danny DiLiberty and Richie Ambrose lagging for the break. In the center all the way in the back with glasses is Freddie the beard. Larry Lisciotti is to Freddie left. That is Larry Hubbard in the front leaning on the table with his arm. You may have to blow it up a bit if you can on your computer.
It is hard to tell from the picture angle but to the left and behind where the picture is taken there are bleachers and the room is packed.

Fantastic! I took a lot of pix in the old days, but naturally they didn't make it to the present. Only 14.1 tourneys. But I love old pix like these.

I always had a camera and took thousands of pictures over the years. I also had a collection of posters and programs. I lost everything when a hurricane blew away my warehouse. We found stuff half a mile away.

Recently I was reminded by my wife that I almost always developed everything on slides because it was cheap. Those boxes of slides are around somewhere.

If I find them I have a lot of candid pictures of players at tournaments and back rooms. Today with everyone having a camera in their pockets there will be no more lost history of anything. I encourage all pool players to take and keep pictures.

If they are like me they will look back 40 or 50 years and remember being there. It is surprising what you remember. As you look at an old picture you recall all kinds of details, it takes you right back to that day and time.

Three wise men.
Lassiter,(middle) Ronnie Allen (left) and Greg "Big train 'Stevens.

This pic is from the tourney where Greg and Lassiter lagged for the break. Greg won Broke and ran 5 racks, broke and was hooked, rolled out,
Wimpy said go ahead. Greg sawed it in and ran that game and 5 more.
Lassiter never got to shoot in a 11/21 set. Someone asked him about it he said "I need to work on my lag"
Rod.

Went to several of these tournaments at Golden Q in the 80s. Great tournaments and thanks for the pictures. Believe to the left of Dallas in the window is Pierre Cote.....pretty good local player.
