McDaniel cues are a mixed bag for me. He did some cues that were absolutely off the hook and among my favorites.
He also did a number of floating points cues, that IMO, were terrible. Maybe that was the style at the time, but he made a lot of floating point cues.
I still havent got a good answer why he quit making cues, as IMO, he has made some incredible cues. I havent heard any negative stories about him, it just seems he decided to quit and that was it.
This is a great example of one of those incredible cues.
