Wish there were more guys like Percy!
I personally spoke with Bill who works for Bill Schick- and he said percy's material is real- I think Percy is a great guy. He has helped my friend Keith and I out ,several times. thanks for being out there Percy!! mark

FWIW - his material is one of those used after the original stuff
was no longer available.

micarta ferrules
The material I have sold was made during and after the micarta with the asbestos was made. The asbestos stuff was taken off the market and this was all that was left in this micarta line. This material is a very good ferrule material with a great hit. As can be checked by the many people that have left me feedback. This is the old yellow paper base micarta. I have a little that is a linen base but I like it for knives the best because of the grain. PDcues knows his stuff that is no doubt. You can believe what he says. Again this does not have the asbestos which to me is better but to others not. Billy Schick checked it and so the same thing as I have said. He doesn't use it because it ages to a yellow tint and his customers don't like that part. Either way have a great week
