Older Black boar cue..

SOLD I have owned this cue since sometime in 90’s. Not sure exact what year it was made. Looking to find out how much it is worth now and maybe sell it. I have not played with the cue for over 10 years. It’s been put away. The ferrule is ivory and the joint is also ivory. The shaft is the original shaft that came with the cue. The condition of the cue is very nice. I am really not interested in any trades because I already have a bunch of cues that I actually don’t need. :embarrassed2:. Looking for offers on the cue. Sorry for the crappy pictures they were taken with my cell phone.

Hello.. I finally brought it with me to work and took specs..
The butt is 15.3 Oz.. the shaft is 3.9oz.. total weight was 1lb 3.2oz... About 19.2oz
The shaft is 12.75mm..

Not sure what ANYTHING is worth today. How much are you asking? I may be interested.
 
Just a simple question: Do you think $2000 is too high or not enough?

I think it's exactly what I would bid. I have never seen an early BB with a black buttcap or black w/white chex wrap, nor have I seen that design in the points.

$2000 is a solid bid in this market as well. There are 2 BB at 4k+ just sitting there getting bumped daily

I agree Craig..When you post a cue with pictures and ask for offers that is exactly what you should expect..

You have a great cue. Some of us love Black Boar cues like myself. If you have a better offer then I am glad for you. I made my offer (which you asked for) and I gave you mine. PMS just starting stuff when he is not even involved!

The design in the point, ivory joint, and black butt makes this very rare
If I were to want a early 4pt from Tony this would be the one ;)

I'd buy this , send it to Tony, have it redone and signed even if it didn't need it and a ferrule-less shaft made for it! Bet it plays a ton
 
Anyone Posting a Price Offer

I think anyone imprudent enought to post their price offer on the forum to a cue seller instead of taking the time to send a PM to the seller needlessly but deservedly invites comments which might be bothersome but nonethelss rightfully expressed by other forum readers.

If you don't want criticism. then don't nefotiate in public and take the time to do it privately with the cue seller or just shut up. Here I'll give you an example and I mean it....I'll buy the cue from the seller at $2100 if he wants to sell it to me....will send the money via paypal.

But this cue owner is looking for help & advice and let's not try to shove the cue market conditions as justification for our offers when they might be criticized by others on the forum. This guy would be silly to sell the cue for your $2k offer or my $2100 offer either. He needs to learn what the cue is truly worth and price it properly for this market or keep it but both of us would be trying to screw this guy until he confirms what the cue is worth which is more than either of us offerred.
 
Thanks Bavafongoul.... I am sorry for not knowing so much about the cue. I am just a player and not a cue person. I will do more research and try to put something together. weight and so on.. Thanks again... I have answered all the PM's that I have received.

I'm truly schocked at your "Buy it Now" price, (it's $800.00 dollars less than it should be).
Your Black Boar has too much Ivory for me, especially the butt sleeve (it's like Christmas).
The only thing I became interested with is that it's a 4 pointer and the Ivory Joint.
