Hello everyone-
Here is an older Mali I'm wanting to sell. I also have an older Meucci shaft to sell as well. Here are some pics:
First things first: Two of the pictures show with sunlight how the cue has a slight warp. At the joint it is literally just less than than the thickness of a credit card. I just tested it and the card would not slide under.
This is a 'Green Logo' Mali so it would have been made in the late 70's or early 80's. The cue was refinished before I bought it and is absolutely beautiful (IMHO). I was told the refinish was done by Proficient Billiards.
It is a full-splice and does have a nice solid hit. The points are not all even. I think at most they are about 1/4th inch off from each other. The picture of the points up close is of the two that are the furthest apart from each other.
The butt weighs a little over 16oz. There is a weight bolt that weighs just under 3 oz. so there is plenty of room to make the butt lighter, if you want. The shaft weighs right at 4.25 oz. and is about 12.5mm, if I remember correctly. The shaft is a replacement shaft I bought from JimmyL back when he was with Waldo's. He turned it down to 12.5mm for me. The shaft has maybe 10 hours of play on it. It is straight.
If you don't mind the warp and want an old school player then this is a cue you should consider. Butt is SOLD shipped. I would sell the butt by itself for Butt is SOLD shipped. These prices are for in the USA. Out of USA will need to add the difference of shipping.
If the cue is sold for my asking price then I will send it in the pictured 1X1 tube case. This case is nothing fancy but does offer protection or make a good storage case. The case does have some marks and scuffs. It is used.
Let me know if you are interested-
