I have an Olivewood cue made by Jim. It happens to be one of the best playing cues that I have ever owned and I have owned over a hundred cues.

Olive wood Properties? (Butt and Shaft Lengths)

Hello Jim,

All of your cues look really nice, but this one, especially so!

With regard to the length of the cue, is Olive wood very dense and heavy, thus a possible reason for making the butt one inch
shorter than standard, at 28 in.?

I've read about Olive wood in several cuemaker's discussions in the past, and how it makes for an especially fine-hitting cue. Thanks for your reply, and GLWS.
