Hi
I am selling my rare African Olivewood forearm/Curly maple handle Zylr cue as it is just sitting in my cue case for storage. African Olivewood Zylrs are rare as it takes a long time for the wood to settle before construction begins. As far as I know, there are only about a handful of Olivewood Zylrs around. I know there are 2 in Singapore including mine, and another owned by a fellow AZer. Kerry Zeiler will probably not built another Olivewood cue again as it takes too much work.

The cue has no dings or scratches at all. The grain of the olivewood and curly maple looks really awesome. I will give it 98% only for its age... built in 2003. I am the only owner and the cue is well taken care of. It has all the extras as well.... buckhorn buttcap (USD150 option) and buckhorn shaft collars (not all Zylrs have them).

There has also an extra shaft made for it by Eric Crisp of Sugar Tree cues. This is an old growth maple shaft with a rare old yellow micarta and a propriety Korean leather tip. The shaft taper is Eric's latest taper and the action from this shaft is phenomonal. Here are the specs:

Wt: 19.2 to 19.6 oz. depending on shafts
Length: 59 inches. 60 inches with the SugarTree shaft
Shafts: 12.2mm (Kamui med tip, Ivory-X ferrule, played), 12.5mm (Kamui med tip, Ivory-X ferrule, like new) and 12.6mm (SugarTree shaft, old yellow micarta ferrule, like new)
Joint: Buckhorn with 3/8X11 pin

Asking price: USD1400 including shipping to anywhere in the world

I prefer paypal. But will take direct telegraphic bank tranfers as well. References can be obtained from Ken_4_Fun and AuntyDan here at AZ. The ppl at the easypooltutor website knows me well too. I will consider all offers. PM me or email me at kye_lin@yahoo.co.uk

Pictures to follow shortly. Thanks.

There is one like this cue locally but with a leather wrap.
Great hitting cue. A local pro said he couldn't believe how solid it hit.

looks like walnut to me.

Anyone?? Bump...
I cannot believe it is so hard to move a Zylr these days.. They used to go like hot cakes....

everyone's tight except for the high end cues probably. unless this cue plays like it was handed down from mount olympus. i think you need better pics, bud. yours are washed out. looks like you macro'ed the cue,,,so you get out of focus edges. take pics without the macro but as large as you can. you'll get sharper edges. your camera looks like it has enough megapixels.

I think everyone likes the cue, it's just the shafts. I would have made you an offer already but the thin shafts really reduce the number of potential buyers(most are looking for 13mm or as close as possible). Best of luck with the sale...it's a great cue.

I second that. The size of the shaft did put me off. Still is a great cue. Good luck.
