Omega cues-any good?

I have a friend looking for a cheap nice looking cue. These are an import (southwest style) cue. Are they good players cue for $130 or whatever they are going for? Did a little searching but didnt see anything that said whether they play good or are of any quality at all. Seem to be fairly nice looking cues for the money. Just looking for opinion or first hand experiences.

Have one for the kids.

Nothing to brag about, but not terrible either.

Everything you'd expect from a production cue.

They sure look like the KC cues available on eBay.

I had one of those, the KC, and it was ok. Shafts were too thick for me; retapered one of them and a friend bought the cue with 2 shafts from me for $250. I paid $115 including shipping for it.

The friend has some good cues: Schuler, and others. He had the other untapered shaft retapered and now loves the combination.

Hope this is of assistance, although I realize it's officially a different cue, I have my doubts.

P.S. Why not call Omega cues and ask them?
 
Just a reminder, not to be confused with Omega /DPK. Totally different cue, totally different quality, and totally different price range. I know you guys know what your talking about, but the borderline name infringement always drives me nuts for some reason (probably because I own some of the latter).

Good point Dave. What I offer are imported by present day Palmer. Not to be confused with original Palmer.:grin-square:
 
Omega's are not bad for the price. For a time they came with Everest tips, which they no longer do; however if you can find one that does have an Everest on it then get it as it will play pretty good.
