On a plane to NYC

Going to be in NYC for the week. What are the recommended places to play? Any spots that run weekly tourneys would be ideal.

Mon: soho Billiards had handicap tournament.
Tue: skyline has open tournament,
Wed: soho open tournament

Amsterdam billiards...11th st and 4th. Nice tables and good crowd. On any day, there is usually a pro there playing.

No tourneys...just league nights. But I figured you would like to check it out anyway.

Society Billiards is a place not to miss! All new 9' Diamonds, and Jude Rosenstock (who posts here) is a great guy, who will show you a good time on the tables! It's downstairs on Broadway (used to be Broadway Billiards).

Thanks for the recommendations! Think I may enter the SOHO tuesday night tourney. I will definately check out Amsterdam and Society as well.

Went by Amsterdam and SOHO last night. New Yorkers are spoiled when it comes to pool halls. Both great places. Some good 14.1 players at Amsterdam last night.
